On the other hand, they got feedback from a very experienced panel at the Vista Ridge Marching Festival last night, they will get feedback from a panel of BOA judges in Midland, regardless of the competition and they have had and continue to have a series of clinicians work with them over the course of the season. They have already made significant changes from what they showed at BOA Austin just a week ago. Let's just say I don't share your concerns. Not in the slightest.

I cannot understand how ANYONE could think that sending guard members onto the field barefoot would think it's a good idea. It's irresponsible.

The main problem with the venue is that all exiting traffic is going to Parmer Lane, and only Parmer Lane Southbound. It is the definition of a bottleneck and there really is no good solution.

Also, after seeing John Horn at State last year, I think they would certainly have done well at BOA-SA had they competed. And Austin also has Jack C. Hays who finished right behind Westwood at S.A. Yay competition season!

I count 8 that finished ahead of Westwood at S.A. - College, Park, James Taylor, Oak Ridge, The Woodlands, Pearland, Clear Brook, Seven Lakes and Ronald Reagan. Who am I missing? The Austin contest has 11 that finished ahead of Westwood at S.A., including six Finalists vs two at Houston, which has eight more bands attending. Gotta disagree with you about Austin vs Houston. Having said all that, I have seen Westwood's show and I think they will be in contention for Austin Finals this Saturday. That contest will certainly speak to their chances at Houston.

I can confirm that Vista Ridge has no director changes this year and the tech staff is very nearly the same as last year. It's the best stability we have experienced in some time!
