That's a possibility. GE is also 60% of the score, so they might just be behind in that according to the prelims judges. I'm sure the scores are razor thin.

Rumors of Marcus demise have been extremely exaggerated. I thought that was fantastic. Definitely contending for high music, though that's nothing new for Marcus.

Timber Creek is the first "bubble band" to make a strong case for finals to me. I didn't really get the love for their show last year, but wow that was really good.

I get what you mean. Vandegrift seemed the cleanest so far, but Reagan has THE show of the year imo. Flower Mound was kinda the middle ground in these regards. I'm sure Vista Ridge, Hebron, The Woodlands, and CTJ will make things even more complicated tomorrow.

Yup. Like most trends popularized by DCI. Bluecoats and most recently Santa Clara Vanguard have won championships with no headgear. While uniforms are definitely changing I don't think sans headgear will really become prominent.

I think a ouija board would be more accurate predicting a bands success at Nationals than UIL results. Lets see how this weekend goes for them.

True, and the dfw ones were similar too. This super regional was super competitive before, but now it's an absolute monster. There will be national finalist level bands who won't make finals.

Considering it's a state year for most groups and the rain I definitely think it will be lower. The competition will be just as fierce though.
