Excited to see how it turns out, especially with this most likely being CP's last year in 5A.

And Forney’s! Forney is moving up to 6A next alignment because too many people are moving into Forney vs moving out (in all serious, love the new people, but it doesn’t stop me from making jokes about paying people to move out). I am sure Forney will be fine, but since this is my senior year, I won’t see how they hold up compared to the rest of the 6A schools

North Forney is currently in 6A area B, right?  If that stays the same, we are talking about adding Forney to what is already a ridiculously deep Area B. 😩

Area C, which is still ridiculously deep and that’s where Forney will be going as well

I think Argyle has a good chance of placing above lebanon trail and making it to state this year based off of how both of their seasons are going this year.

I agree, but area b takes 4 to state so I think they will both make it, as well as Wakeland and Lonestar

Area B might take 5 but it depends how many schools Qualify for Area.

Unfortunately, there are only 24 bands in total( if I remember correctly)so even if all get ones, they will only be able to take 4, but hopefully next year a new band gets added so they can take 5

Just putting some of my thoughts down for finalists...

Rouse

Cedar Park

Wakeland

Leander

Aledo

Hendrickson

Forney

Roma

Friendswood

Richland

Lone Star

And then maybe Burleson Centennial, or Colleyville Heritage, or Lebanon Trail or Foster... ? Maybe McCallum? I feel pretty confident in the first 7 being finals locks but there are several groups I could see making it into finals here.

I'm saying it now. Rouse is bringing the house down this year and will win State. I do think Cedar Park will be really close though in 2nd of course.

UGHH I LOVE ROUSE! I saw their BOA Austin performance, and I loved it!! There is no way they don’t get 2nd or win! I hope I can see their show in person at State!

Definitely Burleson Centennial…Forney scored a 77.55 last weekend at the BoA Mid-Cities Dallas Regional and Burleson Centennial was at a 77.4 and right on their heels.  Lonestar scored a 77.5. Burleson Centennial should definitely return to 5A finals in 2023. I doubt Richland or Friendswood make finals (no offense to their great programs.)

BOA scores ≠ UIL Scores; Centennial is wonderful, but don’t count out Friendswood in finals. They are a wonderful program.

Agreed, and Friendswood is consistently solid and very clean end of season. Also.... they're planning a Grand Nats trip for next year so I'm sure they want a strong showing here.

I hear ya…Burleson Centennial will likely score better in UIL versus BoA as well.

This means only 4 will advance likely in Area B? That’ll be tough.

Yes unfortunately so… been that way for a while but it’s really hard for the other bands to get past the likes of Wakeland and Lonestar
