Every UIL Area Contest Results

Hey everyone, so I have been doing this long project to try and find every Area contest results from every year, I have been saving every URL that has it and then putting it into a Google Docs. So far I have every 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018, 2016, and 2015. I have also found a rare 2008 one which I am very excited about! If ya'll wish to help me find more so that we can try and find more and create an archive for these results, I would be all for that! Lets get more results found!

I have given you access, I may switch to Google Sheets to help make it more organized, but for the most part, it should be easy to navigate through

Alrighty, so here is everything that I have been able to find so for in Results:

2021: All Conferences

2017: Area B 2A/3A & 5A All

2014: Area A & C 4A/Area B Prelims 6A & Area D All 6A

2012: Area A 3A/Area A & Area D 5A

2011: Area C All 4A & Area D Finals 4A

2008: Area C All 5A

2006: Area D 3A & Area D 5A

2005: Area D 2A & Area D 4A

Alright, so I'm trying to figure out something, was there an Area G in conference 5A or 4A from 1990-1999? I can't seem to figure it out since I can't find any sources that can tell me where bands were during that time.

Not Sure but I have almost all the Area Results that you are missing for 2017.

Also letting everyone know, I am right now working on a Google Sheet that will have all the results organized like UIL does for the State contest

Well I'm happy now, I was finally able to find out who was in finals at the Area B 4A contest in 2014. I knew the 5 bands that advanced (Argyle, Princeton, Wills Point, Canton, Melissa), but I couldn't find out the other 5. But now I know that it was Anna, Celina, Kaufman, Mabank, and Sanger. I also have the bands that competed in prelims, but placements are unknown.

Thank You! I have been using it though to help fill in data where I don't have the score sheets for them. I believe ya'll will really like what I am doing once this project is completed!

Welp, I have found a year that has no results anywhere, 2007. Does anyone have any of those results saved anywhere? The only results I do have is Area C in 1A/2A and 4A

I was about to say, I added those results for 2007. Its hard to get results that are before 2010

There's always the old Rec.Arts.Marching.Band.High-School USENET archive.  Google Groups has it stored now but you can reach it here:

It's not a very well organized archive (lots of spam, tedious to search).  But it dates back to November 1994.  

Like for example I did a search for Area G and found a post from 1998 saying that Harlingen, Holmes, La Joya, J.W. Nixon, Southwest, & S.A. Taft advanced that year from G.
(Marshall was the alternate).

The DCI one actually dates even further back to December 1992.  I doubt it'll have any info useful for your project but it's still an interesting rabbit hole dive.  https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.marching.drumcorps

Thank you for this! The project I have will be more organized and will be set up like UIL State results. I'll give the documents a look to see if it helps me on my quest to finish this project!

I'm looking forward to seeing some progress on 2013! My Area contest that year had the finals rained out, so World of Pagentry doesn't list our placement or our ordinal values for the prelims. Any info on Area C Class 4A would be greatly appreciated!

The PDF Files for 2013 are hard to get. I have found them once but that was over a year ago, and I have no idea where they were at when I did find them.

One option that you could try is to get the Area DVDs from this site (https://mrvideoonline.com/popular-events/marching-band-events/by-event/uil-university-interscholastic-league/) and watch the awards ceremonies. It won't give you the ordinal values, but it will give you placements. Definitely a costly way of going about it, so it would really be a last resort type of deal. Maybe a bunch of people can buy the DVDs for their competitions and report their findings.

For events that got rained out, like mine that one year, the awards ceremony would likely be on prelim DVDs only. I have the finals package, which included the four bands who got to perform, along with the prelims from everyone else, and it doesn't include the prelims award ceremony. I might buy the prelim package just to see if it's included, and if it's for the entire prelim or just for the bands in that set.

I was hoping that site would have every region, area, and state packages. I was much disappointed to find out its just select regions and areas.
