As far as I recall, McKinney North didn’t perform their show at halftime in this exact 1st game against us (W. East) last season. Not sure if that’ll be the case this time, hopefully not

This can only mean one thing…it’s time to look at stadium tickets.

My thoughts listening to it.

Wow. Just wow, obviously not as clean but when it is it will be great. Great Preshow body movement. Good opening hit, could definitely work on keeping their volume consistent. Woodwinds going crazy in that feature. Great brass feature right there, will obviously need more time to clean up, but they are killing it. Amazing Job Wylie East, Area J watch out.

The stream cut out on me at the end, but HOLY EAST!!!!

Very mesmerizing pre-show. The trumpet soloist was NAILS on the Mussorgsky! Great sounds coming out from the group already! When this gets clean, they may give their neighbors to the west a run for their money 👀

Thank you!! We’re very excited about our program’s direction and of course our ‘25 program, so glad you enjoyed it😊 there’s MUCH more where that came from, believe me

First halftime performance from Sachse this year! Coppell did not perform their show tonight. Show starts at 1:35:50.

Here are my first thoughts of Sachse this year:

I’ve always felt that Sachse’s shows are unique in the sense that how the shows are designed felt out of place in comparison with other bands they compete with (2018, for example). Last year was a step in the right direction, but I didn’t feel like they had crossed that barrier yet.

This year, I believe Sachse finally has a show, in terms of design, that’s on par with other bands they compete against. The music arrangement has more structure and flows way better, and there is a good mix of percussion and wind features (something they were lagging behind on). I have always felt that their choreo was too basic, but now they are finally experimenting with new ideas.

That alone raises the potential of this group; they will be a force for years to come. They sound great already! When cleaned up, they will sound really powerful!

Saw Hebron tonight. They performed up to the ballad I think. Didn’t catch the show title, but they played three pieces; Magical Mystery Tour as the opener, then one I didn’t recognize, then The Abyss by silvestri.

That second piece sounds an awful lot alike to "The Leviathan" from Atlantis: The Lost Empire by James Newton Howard. Not saying it's that but I notice a lot of similarities!

Here’s Rockwall’s performance from last night (1:50:50):

Rockwall: RetroSonic

Very cool pre show sounds. Nice opening body movement, cool drill going into that opening hit. Feel like the audio isn’t that good. This is some really cool drill they got here with the WiFi set and the 4 lines. Nice features from both brass and woodwinds. Overall great performance and definitely one to look out for. Some visual issues in some places but it’s early season so that’s a given. Nice job Rockwall.
