Did you read this? This is what I responded to. They also thought Marcus should medal. I said Marcus was more of a "snooze fest" than Carmel. 

- Flower Mound, Marcus and Broken Arrow should take the gold, silver and bronze IMO.

My point is there were 3 bands mentioned. Why are you calling out 1 of them. It's tacky. I don't agree with the OP either. There's nothing wrong with constructive feedback but I don't agree with singling out bands for personal criticism. These kids all work their butts off and they read these forums. I'd hate for a single one of them to feel like garbage about their performance because of my careless commentary. The truth is that every single band that performed today was phenomenal. I may not have loved all their shows but I'm certainly not singling them out. Do better.

If it'll make you feel less singled out, I'll go back and chastise the OP too.

Looking forward to a killer Finals and a bittersweet ending to marching band season.

Hoping for a Texas gold but there are so many great bands, just gonna have to watch and see!

I don’t have a dog in this fight as I just enjoy watching bands perform but your comment is ridiculous. Go over to the HornRank boards. It’s full of Hoosiers who look down on other bands if they’re not from Indiana. Case in point….One poster today made the comment that they were going to win it all anyway. 
 

We should all be celebrating the hard work that all of these students have put in this year and not trying to tear them down.

I am glad someone has some sense when it comes to this topic, it is simply just the internet. Depending on where you are at there is gonna be a certain sentiment but regardless I am just happy to see bands perform and give their all regardless of placements. Cause performances and shows and moments have a longer lasting effect then a medal tbh.

Was I the only one that felt like FM held back a little in their first two performances at GN? I say open up the sound a bit in the finals. Maybe it was just the stream and bad sound.

Off topic (since we arguing apparently) but if any of you are wondering what to do with your kid's fathead here you go. The blue colored one was a faulty print job and we put red lights in the eyeballs. I think its weird but my kid thinks its pretty rad. Anyways be nice y'all and let's have an awesome night!

The bias runs strong with this comment... Incredible stuff really.  Avon was on target and Carmel was fantastic.  Got a great response from the audience as well.

While I do think they hand a different overall sound from 6A state, unsure if they were holding back or if this was strategic move. We will see in finals

I hope they kill it! I LOVE their show this year. The visuals are just stunning. Saw some of their kids earlier and told them to lock in and bring it tonight. They said they're on it 😁

You're in a Texas bands website. We're going to have a Texas bias. We want our Team Texas to succeed and we're proud of our annual contingent. We want them to win and we think they deserve to win. It's okay. If our bias bothers you, you have the choice to not come here.

I love Texas programs, that is why I am here. Hebron and The Woodlands are 2 of my absolute favorite groups. Texas is the best state for the marching arts. I just believe there is a difference between supporting your programs and tearing down other ones. There is something specifically with the Indiana groups that brings out the worst attitude of Texans.

Calling Carmel a snooze fest, wondering if anyone applauded, and calling Avon messy and undeserving of a medal is okay though? I don't think calling Marcus a snooze fest was okay of me to do, but no one cared about not tearing down other programs until I responded to that post.
