There was an issue with a program regarding a UIL rules violation. We were unable to confirm the validity of the accusation so the posts were deleted. This, allegedly, has already been handled by the UIL and there is no impact to the contests this weekend.

When I worked in Downtown San Antonio, people would always ask me where the best Mexican food on the Riverwalk is located. My answer: “It’s not on The Riverwalk.” Love Rosario’s!

This happens every year. Tons of great programs everywhere! The 1 to 5 ratio is just fine with me. UIL has expanded the amount of Area Finalists for the areas with the most programs so that helps some. If there were enough slots of EVERY “deserving” program, there would be no need for an Area contest. Part of this activity is rising to the occasion when the lights are on

Just so we are all on the same page for State Qualifiers: Area A - 4 Area B - 4 Area C - 5 *** Area D - 3 Area E - 2 ### Area F - 4 Area G - 5 Area H - 4 Area I - 3 *** - Although only 23 bands will be at Area C Prelims, the bands that qualify for Area and choose not to attend STILL COUNT towards the number of State Qualifiers an Area can certify. ### - Because Area E has 13 or fewer bands in Prelims, no Area Finals contest will be held. Total State Qualifiers - 34 State Finalists - 12
