Exactly. Most corps would prefer to scrap the four or five people used for the cymbal line and add a few more brass players or pit percussionists.

Churchill was one of the first "angry" guards. They can smile when they need to but during the aggressive stuff, they do it just about as well as anyone.

Depends on your definition of "dance". Take a loose definition to it and technically, everyone did it. Take a more tight of a definition and really, only Haltom was the one to have a true dance break. Body movement is a part of marching band, whether you like it or not.

After watching pretty much all of Prelims, the top 14 was right. Looking back on the performances, the top 14 chosen last night was the correct 14. As far as Spring's show, the show was dirty visually. I noticed a lot of individual marching errors. The show didn't enthrall me from a General Effect standpoint, which is why I think they didn't make Finals. Each of the top 14 had some sort of hook about them, whether it was amazing playing, great visual, or a solid combination of both.

Marcus hasn't topped out yet. It's impossible to top out when you don't even have half the closer on the field. The top three, no order: Ronald Reagan Stephen F. Austin Winston Churchill Stephen F. Austin is just way too good to be out of the top three. They still march and play the snot out of their music. They got killed in General Effect at Houston but if they've made changes to the show since then, it won't be a problem.

I think it's funny that the Reagan/Churchill bands are never there for the game because they are either at San Antonio Super Regional or Nationals.

This is assuming Churchill puts up a performance like they did in Houston Prelims. If so, they can shock a few people and run away with a bloodbath of a regional.
