  1. The person who made that video is using a hacked version of Line Rider. I was playing with a version earlier that made it almost impossible for the little guy to fall of the sled. Still pretty impressive, though.
  2. Go to the LD Bell website page and under miscellaneous links, click on dfife. I'd get a link for you, but I'm lazy.
  3. Bell ftw in 2007... or maybe Reagan if they go. Texas bands sweep 1 2 3 in finals, like they did in semi-finals a few years ago.
  4. Indeed, I agree Avon is a well-respected band, as well as Westfield. You don't get to the top without having your own share of disappointments, however. To say that Westfield's disappointment this year is greater than Avon's doesn't do justice to Avon. Both bands are at the top of their class. They should be proud of whatever place they get. I must admit, I was pretty surprised when Westfield got announced 12th at Super Regionals.
  5. Because you should learn to recognize the signs. n00b! JK, of course. Who else is really wanting the next Harry Potter book to hurry up and come out?
  6. The reason you can't compare scores between competitions is because there's nothing similar about any competition. Different judges, different days, different bands. THAT'S why you can't compare scores. And sure, diminish Avon's feelings because Westfield dropped between different competitions. For you to say that they shouldn't feel bad because "other bands have had it worse" is pretty insulting. You are right about one thing, though. Suck it up and go on.
  7. You can't really compare between competitions. And yes, I knew that Westfield got 2nd at Houston and 12th and San Antonio. And yes, I knew you would say that.
  8. I'm quite sure no band at GN or any competition this year dropped from 2nd to 12th.
  9. It's not like they're SUPPOSED to do so, though it happens. It's even worse in DCI when judges get stuck slotting corps. One corp scores a 19.9 in music, though another is a lot better, thus they get a 20.0.
  10. Has a band that has gone first ever won a GN? That'd be interesting to know.
  11. I'm calling it now. Bell and Reagan are going to win GN in 2007 and 2008, depending on which band goes when. Bell's been creeping up on it for too long now, and Reagan has two 2nd places under their belt.
  12. I remember reading somewhere that Bell apparently IS going next year... It might've just been forum banter, though.
  13. Indeed, especially after Westfield's over a decade long run of never placing below 2nd at any competition they participated in.
  14. Yea, I believe they placed 2nd twice, at two separate GN competitions before they won it in 2003. Now Bell and Reagan are going to be in the hunt in the next few years. These two bands are hungry for the eagle.
  15. You should think about using proper grammar. You'd be amazed at how much more cohesive your thoughts become.
  16. I follow the BOA website. I know the scores are up. I'm wondering why there are even scores in the first place. For the past few years, they don't announce scores at GN Finals and we have to wait until the following Monday for the recaps.
  17. They don't announce scores at GN competitions...
  18. Where'd you get those scores?
  19. OMG!!! Broken Arrow pulls out the win!!!!
  20. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Lawrence Central 7. Avon 8. Carmel 9. Plymouth-Canton 10. Winston Churchill 11. Marian Catholic 12. James Bowie
  21. lol n00bs. Though it happened in my band, too. Standing there for that long a time can be pretty taxing.
  22. Indeed, it does. And, I mean, if you're standing there at parade rest and your hands are crossed in front of your crotch, you know, you think you can get away with it... Until you remember there's a jumbo-tron... and a really huge screen.
  23. Priceless. Edit: Give results, please!!!
