I won't be able to go to the finals performance, but I'll be able to make it out to the last block of the day and see all the incredible bands that perform. Seriously, that's stinkin' SICK block. Talk about savin' the best for last. Geez.

Yea, I was kinda surprised when they announced a ten point gap between first and second. I didn't see Marcus' show from up top, however. Who knows? Maybe Marcus really was ten points better than Hebron.

I remember that Keller also made finals and placed somewhere up there. Anyone there remember the band placements?

radchad, you really like hyping Mansfield, don't you? I'm sorry, but I"m just really tired of reading your posts that constantly remind everyone on these forums about how hard their show is. You don't need to. Let the band speak for themselves. Besides that, congratulations to Wylie for winning TOC. It's nice to see them back in the mix and placing high in competitions. Also, yea, Creekview! I was out playing tennis Saturday morning, and I could hear the band warm up from about a mile away. It was pretty cool music and stuff. I'll be really interested in seeing at BOA Arlington. Congratulations to all the bands on a great competition!

Wow, talk about some surprising placements! Hey, that's marchingband for you. It's pretty cool seeing Lafayette in the mix and placing above Spring and Martin. My sister's boyfriend is from that area. Man, I'd really like to see the recaps to see how Brazoswood won music and didn't make finals. Also, Clear Brook above Reagan? Crazy, crazy, crazy... It looks like it's going to be a heck of a Super Regionals.

Why didn't you post those results in the TOC thread? This is the Birdville thread. Anyways, the results are as follows... I could only remember a few of the places. 1. Marcus 2. Hebron 3. Colleyville Heritage 4-8... I don't remember. Lewisville placed above Rowlett, but I'm not sure of the actual place. 9. Argyle. 10. Holliday Marcus swept all captions.

I saw a clip of Reagan's show on their, too. I didn' t know their mascot was a rattlesnake.

Well, seeing as I am an alum of Hebron, I inquired about the show and what not. My informant requested that I do not release specifics, but apparently they have over 110 pages of drill with more movements to complete. Man, I remember my senior year when we had 80 pages of drill and I thought that was a lot...

Nice, nice. Bell, Reagan, SFA, and The Woodlands all have the strength to take the GN crown back to Texas. Hey, maybe they'll sweep the top four spots! I'll be trying to make it out to both the Arlington and San Antonio regionals. Anybody else going?

The only reason I didn't have Berkner on the possible finalists list is because of their recent showings at BOA events. However, I hope they can come back onto this stage. Bands like Coppell and Cedar Park have done incredibly well at recent BOA events.

TX James Bowie H.S. TX L.D. Bell H.S. TX Langham Creek H.S. TX Marcus H.S. TX Richland H.S. TX Ronald Reagan H.S. TX Spring H.S. TX The Woodlands H.S. TX Westfield H.S. TX Winston Churchill H.S. I've got it narrowed down to 17 possible finalists. I had to knock out a lot of bands that have a chance. Bands like Berkner, TW College Park, and Colleyville. Originally, I had 24 bands after the initial knock out. I just can't bring myself to taking more bands off this list. Too painful.

Wow, really? Some of those bands you starred haven't been in a BOA Finals in recent history. Out of the bands you chose, I, personally, would take off Mabank, Newman Smith, Pleasant Grove, and Putnam City. That leaves 11 bands. The final few spots are gonna be a battle between Berkner, Colleyville Heritage, Mansfield, Clear Brook, and Martin. I think Clear Brook and Mansfield will get into finals, though. This should be a very good competition. Lots of good, solid bands are not gonna make it into finals. Here's my list: Coppell Haltom Hebron L. D. Bell Marcus Owasso Richland Westfield Clear Brook Mansfield Let's see if I'm right. I was dead-on last year for GN Finals. Maybe I still have a bit of luck? We'll see. Edit: Grammar reasons.

It's been almost a year since I've posted on these boards. It seems that after my graduating class, txbands.com has almost no Hebron posters anymore. I thought I'd revisit this site and see what's going on. What's happening in the band world? Who's good this year? Who has potential? I've seen a 5 minute video of Hebron's show, but that's about all I know of marching band right now. Quite an entertaining show, if I do say so. But then again, I can't really make an honest assessment based on a football game performance, where I can hear the crowd better than the band. So please! Fill me in on what's been going on!

That's quite a commitment for a college student. Those musicians in Blast! rehearsed several hours a day. My ex-band director claims that he was a part of the design group (I don't know if this is true) but when we went to see them live few years ago, he knew everyone and got one of the soloists to talk to us. Pretty difficult stuff to pull off.

I called this Super Bowl back at the beginning of the season. Literally, I said "Bears vs. Colts in the Super Bowl." I wish I would've bet money on it.
