That would be amazing. However, unless they have changed the number of bands that have to make area to add a 5th school, not sure there are enough schools.

That top 6 is stout! 7-12 and even to 14 could go so many ways. I need to see Rockwall Heath! So want to see them squeeze into Finals but have not seen them enough to out their yet!

This area doesn’t get enough attention. There are 6-8 bands here that could make state with 2 good runs!

Who are your dark horses sure to surprise here. Have my eye on one but will wait until closer to reveal!

Plano East will always be in the concessions if they bring the trailer with the TVs and a cool drink!

I like Tubalord’s predictions If we get a Final 5 bands to perform in Finals of Wylie, Rockwall, Rock Hill, Argyle, Pierce…..it will be an amazing finish to a great band day! Best non Boa event of the day imo

My children may have learned new words with me trying to escape the parking lot after DCI and we rushed to the car.

Oh, someone wants it. I need to go back and reevaluate all my thoughts and opinions! 😂 But in all seriousness, I think all bands want it. They want to do their best and bring home the highest finish they can! Lets go band!!!

I have 2 sons in the band and hope this is the year. My Senior has been so close every year. Last year one space out was a gut kick! These kids are working so hard. I feel like they are farther along than they have been at this point in years past. Can’t wait to see when they get the full show on the field.

If you want to see Prosper halftime show. You “might” be able to see it during the Rockwall Sports Network broadcast (search you tube). Last week they showed both Heath and Highland Park

Ha. I will admit. When my oldest was in 9th, he was like one of only 2-3 in Wind Ensemble and his first concert I was blown away at how old his bandmates were…now he is da Man looking beast at the concert 3 years later. Haha

I once made a funny meme about our director because no matter how many times he ask people not to park in the bus lane on a Friday or Saturday Night, it still happens!

As I sit in the parking lot, listening to the future 2025, 6A State Qualifier, Orange Wave Band….let’s have some parent fun! This is only meant for fun, no mean spirited comments. What are some of the funniest, eye rolling, comments or questions you have heard from other parents in band whether on text or a communication app, or just plane funny story? ****** I will even start…. Almost every time we go to band, I will ask one of my kids if they have their instrument. Yes, I know what I’m asking because I have been told yes, just to in the parking lot and hear the dreaded “uhhhhh dad” from the backseat!

Isn’t this fun? Back to talking about bands and making predictions on how students from the age of 14-18 are going to do in competitions where for most part none of us have seen bands other than our own? 😂 Feel like we need those stock market warnings. What is it, past performance aren’t indicators of future success. Let’s be fairly honest with ourselves….if you aren’t one of the Big 3 at a contest, you could finish anywhere from 4-12-16. But it only takes 2 special marches a contest to shock the world! Yes!!!! This fun. There is almost a crisp in the air of October! Good luck to all the bands!!!
