  1. physucks!!!! physics is awesome, almost up there with math and clarinet... since i'm taking AP without any previous physics class, i was kinda behind, but i understand it better than many senoirs that took Pre-AP first..lol we are on chapter 10, ocillations it also helps that my teacher lets us turn stuff in late, no penalties (i turned something in like 2 months late and got a 100 my teacher is a PhD Chemist...teaching Physics
  2. cain & able are biblical brothers or are you asking about girlfriends in hs that flirt with other guys?
  3. hmm the met thing sounds like an idea - we have a DM work it, idk why freshmen have speaker duty, every day or two, we pick 4 new freshmen to carry stuff out - the speakers for the met (500 lbs...lol) and some to take out our podium for the DM.
  4. idk about that, how many do 4A take from area to state? cause in 5A, we have: Clear Lake, Clear Creek, Clear Brook, and everyone else...
  5. thanks sarah! congrats to you too. since senoirs have SAT on SATurday, heh if the two in front of me had to take it somewhere in Kingwood, and couldnt make it to tryouts.... after we got results at 1:20 AM, CST or so we got lost in the school...lol it was like a maze in there, no windows, no doors (lots of them were locked) PMHS all 4 clarinets made it (3,6,22,27) 4 trumpets got region 1 district 3 flutes region 1 dist. 1 percussion region region 19 round 2 is at Dobie HS, PISD off of beltway 8 oh yeah, Channelview is 4A? so you decided to try 5A this year?
  6. ranked 3rd in round one! 87 showed up - unfortunately (we took a bus and got back to school at 2AM ) i thought i play kinda badly, *shrug* region 19 clarinets were in the auditorium for the first time - as far as my experience. we sat in the WOODEN seats while the judges were on stage facing away from us when we played, the sound bounced off the pit part of the stage, back at us, into the auditorium, then to the judges, it was weird... so it took 3 hrs to play the first etude, and the cuts for the other two were changed they were stupid and didnt split us up like i wanted. we lined up at 5:15 ish and came out completely finished around 11:15 ish then we waited for results, but it took forever. we had the choice to go home or stay and wait (not excused from school this morning - i got up at 6) we waited it out (@ PMHS, we're hardcorps like that) only some like 3 random people, Dear Park, and us actually waited for the trumpet results. got back to school at 2AM, home at 2:30 AM saturday will only have 31 clarinets versus our old region that took 54
  7. yes, absolutely this is as important as the Bill of Rights!
  8. oh yeah, ow does that work? if you go to a 4A school, you have a choice of which to compete in?
  9. cool, i'm glad you like the idea, but to make it clear, nobody is sure of what's going to happen, the room thing was just something i thought up.
  10. really? IMHO this is how it should've always been. the old system was bad because for example - you play clarinet / trumpet and have the first round with Kingwood, Kingwood has ton of trumpets and clarinets. other people on different nights that have less competeition will make it. this way, some people make it who aren't that good and some good people don't make it because of their night's competition. If they are smart, and I have doubts , we will have 3 rooms of clarinets, with 5 judges each. the judges will switch out rooms and hear different etudes (J1-5 will hear only etude 1, J6-10 will hear #2, J11-15 will hear #3) since it's only a cattle call audition the first night, i wouldnt worry too much about it, treat it as a warm-up for saturday oh wait, were you originally a part of region 19? the old system was separating the schools into 3 nights and then the 2nd round for area
  11. what I wish I was on my Spanish Test = perfecto
  12. oh no, dont remind me about THAT. if i had to pick the worst instrument for a bad player, it would be the Clarinet. you can really tell who's good and who's horrible on Clarinet. since all the clarinets of region 19 are on the same night, we'll have to endure the blotched high notes and such bad tuning and wake-the-dead sounds all night.
  13. yeah, thanks - i finally found the link, Ayala did FEAR this year. i think that we might also use that music, idk i didnt really like this show all that much. Hypar Effect was cool though, we didi that this year.
  14. i play at the piano... who knows what their band is marching next year? i think i know what we are doing maybe.
  15. hmmm maybe, the show i'm asking for is a Meehan show.
  16. i read that one band is doing "fear" next year, did it last year, or did it this year.. i cant remember which one, does someone randomly know? i've done searches for it, but nothing. it should be churchill, reagan, ayala, or maybe even SFA, idk anyone??? it's bothering me
  17. nope..... haha, he's "The Professor," the "King of Swing" he's Benny Goodman!!!! Do you believe in magic?
  18. yeah, mine too, idk, maybe they erase them every couple weeks? who knows who is on my avatar guy?
  19. now, yes did you know that the ps3 is able to help cure cancer? people can register with some university to do research...nice huh?
  20. i dont believe that there was a person from humble to make top band last year, and kingwood has meagan and cody, idk about the other people, i think they all graduated finally
  21. you give me too much credit. da two of us are gonna make top band this year! no more CCISD to deal with. aldine is similar to pasadena schools, but idk about the other people.
  22. nvm it's working now, i guess it takes time to update
  23. ughh, we lost 34-57 to westbrook idk what happened - our QB came out in crutches after halftime... both teams combined for 4 touchdowns in the first 6 minutes of play...lol dang it, such a waste since we had to use our starting TE to play 2nd string QB who had 3 or 4 interceptions oh well more time for other stuff
