  2. are state performance times spaced 10 or 20 minutes apart?? I'm playing at: Mon 3:50 PM Andy Ho 207 B-Flat Clarinet 053 Carney, Anna UT CPE 2.214 - Chem & Petrol Eng
  3. thanks! do you also happen to know what bands attended last year? i've googled it and came up empty
  4. We are playing Molly on the Shore. Pasadena Memorial isn't marching BOA this year. =( we would have to march at 7AM, and that would be pointless: no audience except for parents, and we'd have to get to school at like 4AM. that afternoon, we're marching the Galena Park contest. instead, we're gonna go to some Woodlands marching contest Anyone know what this is??
  5. we've always talked about an awesome marching show if done correctly. the Music of Nintendo =) our orchestra played music from Halo for spring concert. have a look at this: BTW, that piano guy sounds good.
  6. "18" in Cantonese sounds like what's translated to "guaranteed fortune" where "8" sounds like "fortune" on the other hand, "7" sounds like nothing at all. #23, MJ. 2 + 2(3) = 08
  7. nice cover up story!!
  8. it's kinda sad, but i can't wait. these few years have gone by so quickly. soon, we'll have to join the real world, not just our HS fantasy land
  9. isn't is obvious that Bell will be marching to songs from the Lion King??
  10. was it just me or was the Math II really easy? the History was okay, but long. then i took physics last, which probably wasn't such a good idea. the physics was kinda strange and new to me. i'm really really used to the LTF / AP physics styles
  11. absolutely. we have the leader - director, chosen one - DM, official cult book - coral / warm-up book. dunno bout you guys, but here at memorial, the directors hold a circle meeting in the middle of the practice field at least once a week. rain always circles the field. the sun is always out. many times, the football field would have rain, but the marching field would be bone dry. not only are we a cult..... i mean club...... but we are a magic club
  12. US Hist, Physics B, Eng Lang.
  13. yup. we don't go as far as checking the receipts, but you gotta look good
  14. you guys have a cinco de mayo parade? i've never heard of one before (in the houston area)
  15. we had parade practice today, and my legs felt like they were being burnt with acid. nothin; like marching to get huge calves. of course, there were the people who walked - losers and the juniors of next year are very scary. i know we've had off from marching for many months, but come on. it's not that hard to march 120 for a parade... next week starts mini-camp, where the class of 08 takes over, and we start teaching the 8th graders some fundamentals to ease them into marching band.
  16. i'm the first person at Memorial to get the show music (the opener anyway) looks pretty interesting, clarinets start at measure 17, guns a'blazin' it's slated to be 3 minutes long, but i'm afraid that the clarinet sound won't be heard. everything is on the staff..... maybe i'll take it up two octaves.... anyone else have music yet?
  17. we have two crew captains that are in charge of loading stuff before and after games and contests. we don;t keep track of uniforms, as we get them checked out to us at the beginning of the year and we return them at the end of marching season.
  18. nice. that'd be quite interesting. make em march at 300BPM.....
  19. the only officers known to us are the DMs by the end of next week or so. everyone else is appointed at the end of summer band...in August....
