This is going to be a problem for schools like Westwood that simply don't like taking time during the week for competitions. They already get flack from parents about doing BOA San Antonio on Fridays.

Rules are there for a reason. And as much as I love Roma and any South Texas band, we all know the rules. This one is an easy one to obey. They didn’t. That’s on the directors! Now, back to BOA

Sitting here at the parking lot of Westwood. They finished their final practice run. They are in amazing spirits. They are loading up the trucks. No matter what happens, I’m super proud that my kid is involved with this program. It’s been a wild and amazing year! Go Wood!

I got my tickets in the mail yesterday. I'm a little bummed out. This season has been so amazing for Westwood, and knowing that tomorrow could be their final performance just makes me sad. I'm sure I'll cry like I did last year.

Crazy that those Brownsville schools are 5a! I guess the new high school brought their enrollments down

The cutoff for 6A last go round was 2199. Leander apparently reported 2199 on Thursday. If the cutoff was that number two years ago, it’s likely to go up. Hutto would likely move up, which is weird in my mind because I distinctly remember their numbers sagging 10 years ago.

Hutto might be 6A. Hearing Leander and Hendrickson going down to 5a. Source? A reporter from the Statesman on Twitter!

Westwood gave us a treat after tonight’s game. Big props to the Leander band for hanging out in the cold to watch the show.

My cousin’s daughter is in the band. They were gonna go to BOA initially, but changed to US Bands.
