I'm not too sure about Forsan. Yes they did place 2nd back in 2020, but since then they have been on a decline. They placed 10th last year, only 3 spots from Finals. If anything, I would count them as a bubble band for Finals.

Hey everyone!! It is September 1st, which means that our annual Prediction Game (if you call it a game lol) has now officially begun! If you would like to participate, feel free to head on over to the Predictions which is located between Forums Activity & Donate at the top of the page. As a returning Predictions Admin, I am honored to be able to help out again this year with the Predictions and if there are any mistakes or errors, please let me or Clarinot know about the issue, and we will fix it as soon as we can! On that note, I am going to be out of the country on Vacation from the 10th - 17th of September. I will not have access to internet so during that time, Clarinot will be the "main person" to go to. The Galena Park ISD Marching Festival will be taking place on Sept. 30th at the Galena Park ISD Athletic Stadium. This is a 1 round only format contest. The awards are based on the classifications. So, there are awards for 4A, 5A, & 6A. Anyone got some predictions for this event?

Interesting lineup. I think Spring is the frontrunner for 1st here. However, I could see bands like Paetow, Barbers Hill, & Kempner place above/near Spring. I do think those 4 will be the top 4.

Smaller lineup than usual. Hopefully 10 still advance to Finals. Predictions for Finalists: Bridgeland College Park Clear Brook Brazoswood Grand Oaks Porter Klein Oak Klein Collins Dickinson Klein Cain With Willis & Magnolia West being the 2 right outside of Finals.

I think the theme of this show has the answer for Lumberton. But for now, we gotta keep it a secret lol.

Not going to share the video, but Lumberton is coming after State Finals. I've said it a couple times already on different media platforms, but I lost my jaw somewhere. Musically, holy cow. How they are clean this early is beyond me. Of course, visually is going to a little rough but this band is miles ahead of at least the last 3 years of the program.

I still think JBA will dominate this Area, and I really want PSJA to go back to State.

I remember watching their State Finals video when I was a little kid. Really like it! Unfortunately, the band has not made Area Finals since 2010 like you said. They have actually fallen to now being near the bottom of the Area Contest. 2014 - 31st/34 2016 - 18th/28 2018 - 20th/32 2021 - 19th/29 2022 - 21st/24 Another band that is kind of similar is Lake Ridge. School opened in 2012, band made State in 2013 going as far as 10th in State Finals. In 2015, the band placed 7th at Area Finals. Lake Ridge made a good showing at 5A Area B Prelims in 2017 by placing in 3rd, before dropping to 8th in Finals. The band moved up to 6A in 2018, placing 16th/29 bands at Area B. Seems like since Covid, the band has been on a rise. In 2021, the band placed 6th at 6A Area B Prelims, before dropping down 1 spot to 7th at Finals. Lake Ridge placed 9th at Area B Prelims in 2022, and then placed 8th at Finals. And both 2021 & 2022, the band was only 2 spots away from State Advancement.
