    Hey yall..... We have DCI Predictions Game happening NOW! 😁 If interested, you can head over to https://www.txbands.com/predict/ and start suggesting events. Please note that with this being the DCI Season, captions are not normally given out to the regular events, and also the number of finalists spots should be the number of corps that will be at whatever event you are submitting. Please keep note of these small differences from fall marching to DCI. I will also be checking up with these events and making sure everything is good to go. Oh, and when submitting events, please know that if you attempt to re-submit an event over and over again, you will get a warning pop-up box. I believe that is all. I will update you all within this topic if anything changes. If yall have anything, you can message me or Clarinot and/or leave a comment/message on this topic. And with that, I am out of here for the night! Peace out "DCIholics" and "Bandaholics"!

    I just wanted to pop in here and let everyone know that the 2025 DCI Predictions are happening! The game is now open for submissions! I will be making a new topic for the game shortly in the next day or two. Let's all enjoy this season of DCI!

    Interesting. Where did you get that information? LCM has notoriously kept their shows hidden til the fall ssason.

    I like your thoughts. However, do you think Bridge City will fall out of the state discussion after placing 3rd at this area last year?

    So in your opinion, which groups are in the state discussion? Of course, leaving out the obvious ones.

    There is a way to get the full list of bands all over the nation that shows each band in their group and once you select a band, then you go to their profile, and you can see what events are on their schedule.

    Show style bands typically dont compete in the UIL circuit except for Region. They have their competitions that are only for those show style bands.

    Show style bands are at football games for the crowd and the crowd only. Their versions of halftime routines normally include lots of dancing and getting the crowd on their feet and high step marching, like at an 90 degree angle. The music typically ranges from traditional marches to popular pop songs. Most college bands do show style and that is the best way to look more into this style of marching band. I'm personally not the biggest fan of it but I do have respect for anyone who does do show style.

    Hey everyone! J-Mike here, one of the TXBands Predictions Admins. I hope everyone is having a wonderful time with it getting near summer and experiencing all the fun things of DCI, Show Reveals, and school letting out for summer break, etc. I am here to discuss the possibility of our annual predictions game opening up to beyond HS Marching Bands. We could open up the door to DCI Predictions (though after a few events, you kind of get the idea on who is placing where lol) and maybe even indoor predictions with guard, winds, and drumline. If any of this is something any of yall would be into, please let me and Clarinot know by expressing your opinions below as I personally think with how popular our game is with HS Bands, that we could grow even more opening up to DCI and Indoor. I feel like people will more likely decide through a poll rather than typing out their thoughts.

    Nice! But I didn't realize we were already into 2026 with Panther Creek moving into 5A for the 2026 - 2027 season... I'm just playing with you lol.

    I am really intrigued about the show. Seems to be in a different direction than the previous shows. Was there a video at all? or just the show poster?

    That's not really a good hosting location though. Favors the bands up north. 4A Area E would probably be closer for the SETX bands if Mount Pleasant hosted Area C.

    I feel like this would be an interesting topic to talk about on its own as we all have different opinions on which Area is considered to be the hardest, or most challenging. I am in no way saying Area B is "easy". Just compared to Area C, who has bands with State Championship titles, Finalist placements, State appearances, etc. Area B has less bands under the Area's belt with those accolades. (I counted 8 bands that have a history/reputation in the State world, and compare that to Area C with about 11 bands, just not quite there.) Area B has a bunch of really good quality bands that are just starting to showcase themselves recently because of the re-alignment and the removal of the Region 25 bands but not what I would consider to be the deepest 4A Area lineup. Definitely top 2 or 3 though for sure. 1st Predictions for Area B... State Advancers ONLY (for now) 1st - China Spring 2nd - Panther Creek 3rd - Gatesville 4th - Robinson 5th/Alternate - Aubrey and/or Krum

    I would hope so. Having that 8th spot could really do this Area some good since there are just so many state-quality bands in Area C.

    Very much so. I think its the most stacked 4A Area.

    Yes, Celina, Sulphur Springs, and North Lamar made State Finals. The other 4 all placed in the 12th - 17th range. Really impressive too for all groups to be in that range outside of finals.

    I agree 100%. Still don't agree with them placing 17th at State but I'm gonna let it slide this time around lol.
