  1. Not posting my video of Lumberton, however I think the band is stronger right now in the season than last year. Could definitely see them place around the 3rd to 6th range again this year, and before anyone jumps on my case like last year, Lumberton placed 4th in prelims and 6th in finals which was higher than what many people predicted so its definitely possible this year.
  2. I have gone in and deleted your "prediction" so now you can back and re-submit.
  3. Lumberton likes to not allow any videos of the show until after Region. Not completely sure why, but I always like to think it is because by Region, the show that is presented is like 80% of the final product so if a band does try to copy anything, it's not too significant. Also, I feel like if I were the band director and wanted videos of my shows out there on the web, I would want the full clean and crisp product rather than a half-undone and dirty product. But that is just me, what do I know lol
  4. Haha I wish! Thought they said that starting this year, they would release all of that. So far, nothing.
  5. Lumberton has two non-UIL contests this upcoming season Port Neches-Groves Marching Festival on October 4th Lone Star Preview on October 11th
  6. That's not very nice to say. If Coppell had some slight issues, they wouldn't be getting 1st every year in this Area. Clearly the staff at Coppell is doing some amazing things as the program is among the best in Texas.
  7. And that is where most everyone clashes because no one can respect one's opinions and thinks their own is right. There has been some downright disrespect given to bands left and right. Also I respect your opinions of Lumberton as I am graduate of that school, I just don't see them placing 9th. We will see though...
  8. I'm not going to predict much until the first few competitions start happening as last year, I kept getting slammed with backlash for having opinions of my own.
  9. September 1st is when HS Marching Band Predictions start.
  10. In the past, KMF has advanced 14 bands to Finals.
  11. Thank you thank you! I love being able to run and participate in these Prediction games! Makes me happy seeing people enjoy what they like most, which for almost all of us is the marching arts!
  12. Hey everyone! I present to all, the 2025 DCI Prediction Game Award Ceremony! Today, we are going to congratulate and celebrate the art of DCI and everything that went down into this past season of Drum Corps and our Predictions! Without further ado, let's give a big round of applause to our 2025 DCI Predictions Winner, @Dave609!!! He won with 783.39 points and predicted all but 1 event (Don't worry most didn't predict that event either lol). He had a very high average point amount with 11.743 per event which when compared to all the events, that is very good! Here are the top 10 Predictors who all got the 2025 DCI Predictions Badge! @Dave609 - 783.29 Points @J-Mike16 - 778.84 Points @Bushpresident - 755.96 Points @Tubalord11 - 748.15 Points @Hags CSHS TPT - 722.55 Points @certifiedscore - 641.93 Points @lemme cook - 450.37 Points @Trombone_lover17 - 407.92 Points @WanderingTraveler - 380.43 Points @JustaTuba - 312.49 Points I would like to personally congratulate WanderingTraveler who joined mid-season and managed to climb into the top 10. Awesome Job! I do want to congratulate those who placed right outside the top 10, 11. @SharksAreCool - 234.71 Points 12. @Mike McBandiel - 218.90 Points 13. @euph15 - 213.34 Points --------- Now, onto more awards and little fun facts about the game and the predictors. First, we had 38 amazing predictors which is much lower than all the other seasons of Predictions however we brought back DCI Predictions for the first time in many years (It definitely must be more than 10 years) so 38 is a good amount of people who showed interest into the game. Hopefully if we do DCI next year, the number will grow! The overall average points earned from each event was 8.837 points, while the average points per predictor was 213.39 points. The overall number of points earned was 8,108.82 points. We set a new record of 5 Predictors getting over 700 points which is INSANE! Top 5 most predicted events: Drums Along the Rockies with 23 (This was the very first scored event, so it makes sense) Corps Encore with 22 (2nd scored event) Northwest Youth Music Games Seattle with 21 (3rd scored event, notice a trend here? lol) DCI Capital Classic with 20 (8th scored event, oh wow a change!) Rotary Music Festival with 19 (4th scored event) Now the 5 least predicted events: Bushwackers Invitational with 6 Drums Across the Desert with 7 So Cal Classic: Open Class Pacific Championship Finals with 7 The Buccaneer Classic with 7 Beats in the Brooks with 7 Plus 4 others with 7 as well. Bushpresident and certifiedscore predicted all 69 events (There were several more but got cancelled due to weather) while Dave, Hags, and myself predicted 68. Dave and I missed Western Corps Connection and Hags missed The Buccaneer Classic. ----- As we finish out the awards ceremony, I want to again congratulate those who finished in the top 10 and also to everyone who participated in the re-instated DCI Predictions. I am not going to lie; I was pretty nervous about whether or not we were going to get many players. I am really happy we got 38 because I had in mind maybe about 10 to 20 people would play. Let's take a breather from the intensity of DCI before the start of HS Marching Band Season that is already in effect. With that in mind now, I do want to announce that I will be away on vacation from August 29th to September 9th (Going on an Alaskan Cruise and will be celebrating my 25th birthday while in Alaska 😁). So Clarinot will be starting the Predictions for HS Bands. And with that, we are finished with this chapter of Predictions and the award ceremony! This has been a fun and enjoyable ride throughout the season as we watched Boston Crusaders come out on top with their 1st Championship title on their 85th year! and with that, I'm out! Toodles! (I've been saying that a lot recently...) *Yes I did do this a week later*
  13. That would be pretty amazing to achieve here with this strong of a lineup. With a show called "Welcome to Wonderland" making Finals here and at State would just be the best thing ever!
  14. We should be. I will check with Clarinot and let you know shortly! Oh, and Congratulations for finishing in the top 10 as you started halfway through the season!
  15. Actually its much more common than you think. My freshman year, we had a band take a few of our formations in our show and put them in theirs and they ended up beating us at Area later on in the season, advancing them to State while we became State Alternates.
  16. Gatesville made State last year. They placed 8th or 9th in Finals.
  17. The Lineup for this contest has officially been released. Let the discussions begin! Angleton HS Brazoswood HS Bridgeland HS Clear Brook HS College Park HS Conroe HS Cypress Falls HS Cypress Ranch HS Dawson HS E. D. White Catholic HS, LA Grand Oaks HS Klein HS Klein Cain HS Klein Collins HS Klein Forest HS Klein Oak HS Lumberton HS Magnolia West HS North Shore Senior HS Oak Ridge HS Shepherd HS Splendora HS Spring HS The Woodlands HS (Exhibition) Tomball Memorial HS Waller HS West Fork HS
  18. I think otherwise, but to each their own
  19. I like this Pre-Season Contest Predictions! I could do like what everyone else is doing but I'm gonna do my own thing and predict all the finalists for each Class. I expect this to be a long post lol. Using Bullet Points because they take less room rather than listing all the bands on individual rows. 6A: Flower Mound Vandegrift Hebron Marcus Vista Ridge The Woodlands Ronald Reagan Pearland Cedar Ridge Bridgeland Round Rock Keller Waxahachie Timber Creek Coppell (15th/First Out) 5A: Rouse (ROUSE HOUSE BABY, IT'S TIME!)
