I would say for the 12th it would be between Katy Marching Festival and or Lone Star Preview.

Would anyone happen to know if the Coronado T-Bird Marching Invitational gives out Caption Awards? And if so, what are they?

It appears so, they have a much bigger chance on making Finals at Alvin so perform then go to BOA North Houston, perform there and then come back for Finals at Alvin.

A lot of the bands are military so they will go to the Military State Contest but their spot still counts for the Open Class Area Contest.

Listen, this is for everyone in here who seems to be hating on everything I am saying. I am just really enjoying Lumberton's show this year and think it has potential as it is very impressive with what they have on the field right now. If I want to predict my former band program finishing 4th or whatever placement, then I am. If they end up finishing 7th, or 15th then so be it. Now, lets end this whole negativity stuff now before I get an admin to handle this.

I respect everything you said. We will just have to wait and see, you know. Anything can happen to any of these bands. That is why predicting for this area is tough.

What the heck is up with that name

I would watch out for Lumberton for possibly top 3 or even higher. They seriously look and sound like a 5A/6A band.

Oh I know how it works when it comes to Hebron. I dont think its a bad thing. I also dont think you need jump on mine or anyone else's back. I understand your point. Lumberton used to allow videos up until 2015 when another band watched our show and copied some of our formations. Later in the season, they ended up going to State and we did not. So, I see pros and cons with videos being online.

Celina being in 1st should not be surprising North Lamar & Sulphur Springs being in 2nd & 3rd is because I believe they will peak too early at Area and not at State Lumberton being in 4th because this year the show is already being executed at a high level so early on in the season, I think they will peak at State and then place really well in Finals. I'm a little unsure where to place Pine Tree tbh. I think they will place in the 2nd - 6th range but I'm sticking them in 5th. Canton in 6th is just because of the recent placements at Area and State for them. Paris in 7th just because of the competitiveness in the top 6. and then one of my dark horses in Area C is Farmersville. I think they will get that extra burst of energy to get over the hump that they seem to have at Area. However, I do see it being very close to them and Bridge City who I have being State Alternate.

They will do whatever they can to make sure there is no video of them lol.

I love what every band is doing in Leander ISD this year! And I agree with you, in general the bands have produced some amazing stuff so early on in the season. I swear when I watch/listen to some of them, it sounds like it is much later in the season.

Would it be just slightly crazy for me to say that Lumberton could be a dark horse for Finals? Having seen half of their show already, it has full potential to shine here. They are totally sounding like a much bigger band than what they actually are.

Not posting a video yet again of Lumberton (Not yet at least) but they were absolutely amazing tonight. Performed about half of the show, and that "ballad" hit was strong. So excited for these next couple months!
