Yeah, we wouldn't last in Area B. Area D is only hard because it's super top heavy and locked. It's hard to advance upwards. Area B is hard because there's so many that are good enough for finals.

Yeah, we haven't been to Westlake in years. We like to say the reason is because it's cursed. I believe every time we have been there, it has rained on us all starting in 2010. Some of us like to call it The Curse Of Waterways (our 2010 show)

I found Cap City to be quite odd. Dripping Springs definitely should have been in the largest class because I'm pretty sure they don't have under 160 people.

Yeah, I believe 9/12 of the schools in Cy-Fair ISD have Cy/Cypress in their name

I'm surprised how little attention this area has been getting. It's basically BOA Austin without the Leander schools.

Wanna know what'd be a great show? A restaurant themed one. Dress the cymbal line in tuxes and make them waiters with their cymbals as platters.

I sadly couldn't see them on Saturday because we were a couple bands after them and the Cap City live stream archives have bad audio, but they are looking quite sharp with the neon green. I did watch their percussion at the Dripping Springs Drumline Contest and they were pretty good. They are definitely on the rise.

Yeah, the rain messed up our sound for prelims at Cap City, so it was a disaster.

Finalists were Travis Elgin Akins McCallum Lockhart Dripping Springs Earl Warren MacArthur Anderson Taft Finals results Guard-Dripping Springs Percussion-MacArthur 3rd-MacArthur 2nd-Earl Warren 1st-Dripping Springs This competition did quite a few things I personally don’t like. All finalists were announced and performing in prelims order and the finals awards were only those 2 captions and the top 3. I would have written down prelims awards, but the announcer was going through them slowly, so I couldn’t pay attention.

I'm just noting how they only supported them. It just felt a bit discouraging that so many people left right before we played, also I think people are saying similar things above.

Yeah, I remember a giant flood of Hendrickson parents leaving after they performed at BOA Austin. They were energetic and pumped up for Hendrickson, but just didn't care after that.
