Cedar Park is not moving up. Leander, Vandegrift and Vista Ridge.

So, out of curiosity, do you give the three Leander ISD bands moving up to 6A any chance to make finals?

Excited to see Ft. Worth Southwest in the mix. They were excellent at the UIL SMC last fall.

It could also be that the Bowie director wanted to go to a brand new school and have the experience of setting traditions and this way the district got both directors.

Wow. That is awesome. I was convinced they would draw from inside the district.

It will be interesting to see who the director will be at Glenn.

I was joking. Merely making the point that it will be a tall order for the other bands to displace an LISD band if there are only three slots.

Looking at 6A - Area H... I count 24 schools total: Region 11 - Clemens, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, East Central, Judson, South San Antonio, Southwest, Steele, Wagner Region 29 - Brandeis, Brennan, Clark, Holmes, Jay, Marshall, O'Connor, Stevens, Taft, Warren Region 32 - Lake Travis, Leander, Vandegrift, VIsta Ridge, Westlake Am I missing anything? If this is right, then best case is 4 bands will advance to State next year. That assumes that no more than 4 bands fail to get a 1 at Region. If it's four I think you have Leander, Vandegrift and Vista Ridge and everybody else fighting for the 4th spot. If it's only three, then why hold the Area contest?

Eanes (Westlake) is also in there with Leander and Lake Travis.

Glenn will be 4A to start per LISD.

Am I crazy, or are Cedar Park and Rouse going to be the only 5A schools in Region 32?

In betting terms, I would put money on Cedar Park vs the field right now. And give odds.

Cedar Park is NOT moving up to 6A. Leander may not and Rouse may drop to 5A.

You aslo have to cover rental of a tractor and box trucks and all of the travel expenses for the road crew to drive the trailer up to Indy and back.

Charter buses are very expensive. For us to have 5 of them all day for a trip to San Antonio and back (Cedar Park ) is about $10k.

Out school was considering GN for next year and we were given an estimate of $1200-$1400 per kid for the trip.

TWHS flew up yesterday.

If Leander does move up to 6A the UIL can go ahead and mail the 2017 5A Marching title to Cedar Park.

Regarding LISD - Vista Ridge and Vandegrift will definitely move up to 6A. Leander is on the bubble and Cedar Park will definitely stay in 5A. Rouse will stay in 6A this cycle.

I don't see evidnece that BOA is trying all that hard.

Waiting until 10pm to decide on something that will require a 3am call time is insane.
