Nevermind. Answered my own question. Southwest is in the 5A schedule. This is going to get dicey.

Question: Is Southwest a 6A school? They are not on the Region 11 Contest schedule, but listed in the Region Results thread. If the answer is no, then with 2 bands from Region 29 already eliminated, we need EVERY band from Region 11 and Region 32 to get 1's or we are down to three State slots. Region 32 won't be a problem. Region 11?

The format seems a lot more risky without the semifinals in between to smooth things out.

Which is what I was getting at. Yeah, makes you wonder if there will be any adjusting of scores in committee.

I understand that is how the finalists are picked. I'm asking how they will be slotted for finals.

So how will they slot the finalists? Still first seven / last seven? If so, based on score regardless of Panel 1/2? Something else?

Given that Vista Ridge has not made Finals in SA the last three years, does that make them vulnerable?

How do the 14 advancers get chosen this year?

I'm sure there is a contingency plan, but if the weather is clear I can't imagine they would not have warmup outside.

Refugee bands at TMC?

Too tough. The only contests that will get rescheduled are UIL Region or Area contests.

I think the director of the movie he is currently shooting has a kid in the Bowie band.

#4 is the only thing that seems in any way questionable. That feels like pandering, if they use it in a BoA competition.

22 6A bands. Only room for two bands to not get a "1" rating.
