Each time you add a new classification, travel costs for all sports, academic and fine arts competitions goes up for most schools, so I don't see it happening any time soon. Region 11 Winn Uvalde Medina Valley Southside Southwest Southwest Legacy Kennedy Memorial McCollum Harlandale Veterans Memorial Wagner Region 29 Houston Highlands Brackenridge Burbank Lanier Fox Tech Edison Jefferson Harlan Champion Region 32 Cedar Park Glenn Rouse Marble Falls So I count 26 bands. Max of five State spots, more likely four. Cedar Park and Rouse are locks. Glenn should be in the mix for a spot. After that, I'm not sure.

What an insulting example to use.

If the chief judge has a record with him/her of each judge's history of outlier scores, that would help as well.

Because it's not really a competition.

Which, frankly, is no different than being dominated by bands from within 250 miles of Indy.

I had that same experience.

The better solution would be for a judge with a history of giving outlier scores to a particular school to not be allowed to judge again. Ever.

If this year's Top 5 from SA had been in Indy, they would have all finished in the Top _____?

Ok, now let's look forward to Team Texas wrecking shop at next year's GNats

I've never seen a band with digital screens on the field and don't want to.

The next Leander ISD high school is 5-6 years away.

Congratulations to Prosper! Just like Round Rock last year, a band misses Finals in San Antonio and makes Finals at GNats.
