  1. I think making any prediction public with this group is a "bold" action 😁

  4. Lovejoy is only doing prelims due to Homecoming later in the day. I looked up the schedule for Golden Triangle, so to me I thought it was the most updated list.

  5. I would assume to make it easier for cy-creek, Jersey village, cy ridge, the bands that aren’t too close to the berry center, although this will be a long ride for Langham creek, and cy-parks. So I’m guessing they’re trying to make it easier for other bands to travel given that they’ve had to travel a long way these past few years. Another reason could be that this marching contest isn’t on the same scale it used to be, I don’t want to say this contest is dying but it pretty much is. There used to be plenty of bands here, and because there were a good amount, they would have finals performances, but now this is only a prelims event because they simply don’t have enough bands. For example, Back in 2019/2018 You had Bridgeland, Cy-Woods, Cy-Fair, Cy-Ranch, Cinco ranch, Klein oak, Katy, Seven lakes, oak ridge, and plenty more bands. Now the contest is much smaller in size overall, and just overall has less of the Houston area “Monsters”, so I would assume they didn’t feel the need to use the berry center because pridgeon can support that amount of bands without issue/worry.

  8. Falls for sure is still recovering from the loss of mcanear and for sure a pretty not so okay season last year but from a couple early season performances ive seen it looks like they are really making changes for the better. I think its very possible for this year to be the comeback falls has been waiting for and if not certainly in the next few years we will see it happen

  9. Moses Simon down at Roma High School has hosted our own South Texas contest for over 15 yrs I believe. His students and the band staff once again did a tremendous job this past weekend. Adjudicating the contest were Dr. Brian Zator, Erik Kosman, and Andres Aya. Some really great playing going on in the RGV.

  10. Prelims is gonna be a big deal since cville and lake ridge are in the same class so we will likely see who would win finals depending on prelims results. Also excited to see what Brewer has to offer in class C against the “favorites” since they had a really successful season last year.

  13. Happens to me every time, too! Always at least a couple of surprises at every contest... maybe Dripping Springs will be one of them! Serious about that grand, too.
