Great job from that first block I loved Cy-Woods, absolutely amazing, seven lakes completely blew me away after I finally got a chance to see their show, all I have to say to seven lakes is “beautiful” Foster was amazing as always, great job from others like clear creek, clear falls, porter, iowa colony, JET was phenomenal, Jordan was amazing as always, Cy-Ranch did better than I honestly thought they would, amazing peformance, I feel like that was a performance of a new caliber for them, excited for this next block!!!

The event is cypress showcase.

I think they are in a good position, I just think last year a lot of bands that did really good that previous year happened to not do very well at this, cy-falls jumped from 15-26th, which is one example, either way, it’s a new year, Katy is going to do amazing.

I don’t think any staff has changed. They’ll be performing at a non-BOA event on Saturday. As in their musical package, I’m not really sure what’s going on with their music this year, I’m just hoping they can clean it up. I could see Cy-fair placing ahead of Pearland into the 4th place spot like they did last year but I’ve got those top 3 spots locked up, although another rouse would be a nice surprise maybe by Pearland or cy-fair for one of those top 3 spots.

Love when y’all put those questions at the end of your message, it builds up anticipation and excitement, this is why I love band.

Yeah Dawson got placed 20th last year at Katy but I later saw Conroe results from last year and was so confused. Dawson got placed below cy-ranch, not to bash on them or anything of that nature whatsoever, cy-ranch did a phenomenal job and had a very interesting show theme/story(jekyll and Hyde), but I honestly thought they were a lot dirtier than Dawson and I feel as if Dawson deserved WAY higher than what they were placed at, we will see this Saturday and the upcoming one after, good luck to everyone!

My predictions for Conroe finalists have quite a few new faces in the mix, and it also has a list bands that used to dominate the Houston area but have since gone downhill.

Does anyone know what happened with Dawson last year at Katy? I honestly thought they did a pretty decent job.

With that said I know BOA Katy last year wasn’t too great for them, although I’m not completely sure why they were placed so low..

I know Cy-Ranch went here last year and From what I heard there kids were back at the school at about 1:45, given this is a prelims only event, and bridgeland and ranch are relatively close together, and this is in pridgeon, they should be at school within relative the same time, but they’ll be fine.

For BOA Conroe predictions, I have these 2 in finals. So I would agree that these guys are in a perfect spot.

This s exactly how my program was, we would occasionally talk about results and how we placed and how they felt about it, it wasn’t a big deal to talk about results. But we never mentioned beating anyone specifically.

I don’t think bridgeland has historically gone to BOA SA so this should be interesting to see how they do compared to woods and fair.

Bridgeland will most likely sweep everything unless Jersey village has something to say.

They should talk to those judges, I’d love to see how that would end lol. On the side note, Every band parent/volunteer, is doing the same thing for their band program as any other band parent/volunteer is, they put in sooooo much work that it is not even measurable. Making negative comments against other bands is very immature, and disrespectful. My directors would make people run 5 laps around the marching field if they ever heard about anyone disrespecting other programs.

I fully agree with you right here! I didn’t expect rouse to sweep cedar park, but it happened. So at the very highest I’d expect rouse to get 4th, and maybe lake Travis could take 4th from rouse? Who knows? I’m really excited to see how DS does, I don’t know what sparked in me but something told me they’d be in finals.
