  2. The Wylie band calendar still has WMI listed for Saturday, Oct 5th this year. I’m so bummed it’s the same day as the McKinney Marching Invitational.
  3. I feel like this will be Lost and Found pt 2, super excited! We are seeing a lot of really good show themes this year so far!!
  4. Anybody knows what happened to WMI this year? I can't find the topic anymore and no information on the web.

  8. Clear Creek ISD Challenger Columbia Stadium to Kemah Boardwalk - Google Maps This is a good 20 minutes away from the stadium location, may not be possible. Baybrook Mall is most likely the safer option. See the comparison here. \
  9. Lone Star HS “The Other Side” Symphony No. 2 "Resurrection" - Gustav Mahler "Sucked Into a Bagel" - Son Lux "Hallelujah" - Leonard Cohen "Ripples in the Sand" - Hans Zimmer
  10. I'm surprised @LeanderMommahasn't posted it, but I guess I'll go ahead. Leander High's 2024 show will be called "Shades" Songs include: In Your Eyes - Peter Gabriel In Living Color - Kayahj Copley (Human Heart) - Jacob Collier/Coldplay
  11. Yeah I was just about to say that the contest could've been held at Prosper or Mckinney. It's good for region contests as bands usually just come, perform, and leave while for an area contest, it isn't the best. I believe this is why they stopped having the 5A area B contests here as they been stadium surfing between Prosper, Mckinney, and Melissa stadiums. But I think they've officially found their spot.
  12. I mean for an area contest Little Elm isnt exactly the best, its not a crappy stadium at all, but having performed there its not exactly enjoyable to walk around/navigate, and I cant really imagine 20+ bands at the same time being there, along with the area being naturally humid, I would've preferred Mckinney, or honestly Prosper stadium despite the acoustics being a little iffy, mainly on coordination and as a site in general.
  13. Well it appears here that this contest maybe held at Little Elm rather than Melissa. Kinda disappointed because this is a downgrade in anything (not to say that this is a bad stadium in any way) but it's just that Melissa's stadium is bigger and newer that Little Elm's. But geographically it does make sense now that it is closer to majority of schools in this area. Anyways, here is the source: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6VB8a7sswX/?igsh=MWJyNWN0enVwaWlscQ==

  15. I was unaware thanks for letting me know. I guess that 7th spot id up for grabs then but Farmersville might take it since they did tied with Kaufman 2023 and didn't get to far off in 2022. Can't wait to see Paris, Lumbertown, and Farmersville compete for their spot at 7th and 6th place spots.
  16. List (25 Bands): - Clute Brazoswood - Waco Midway - Jack C. Hays - Cibolo Steele - Winston Churchill - Tom C. Clark - Odessa Permian - Grapevine - Comal Canyon - Klein Oak - James E. Taylor - Midland - Sharyland - Georgetown - Colleyville Heritage - Klein Collins - Dickinson - Harker Heights - Friendswood - Lake Belton - Dawson - Del Rio - Denton Ryan - Brewer - Claudia Taylor Johnson Tried to balance out location, size and historical success. Let me know how you would rank these bands in a hypothetical BOA Regional (We'll say this is a hypothetical BOA Waco)
  17. Kaufman is 5A now so they won't be competing here.
  18. Based on last year, I think the 7th place spot belongs to Kaufman or Farmersville. They were both above Paris and tied eachother at the area finals for Area B. While Paris always performs great shows, Kaufman has consistently been a highranking and competitive school. I don't see a school such as them not placing in the 7th spot or above for this area. I'm not so sure about lumbertown since I've never seen them in person or recording but I think they will definitely have a very tight sliver to try to slide into. Needless to say, This year will be the most competitive I've ever seen; probably more than back in the Argyle and Melissa years for Area B.
  19. Jersey Village is going. I think its their first time there.
  20. Jordan is coming back….. 😮 After 2 years of absence from this contest
