We have officially gotten all the bands that will be advancing to the State Marching contest and I think it will be very interesting to see how the State contest goes after the crazy results from yesterday. Having said that, I agree with the results. I can’t wait to see China Spring again. Celina and Anna are WOW! Anybody see Area A and E bands? How are they compared to last year? waynet2010 Posted October 22, 2023 Report Share Posted October 22, 2023 Pecos was pretty good, Randall and West Plains are similar to last year. Canyon’s show content wise is better than last year they just have to execute it. They got 1st in prelims and 2nd in finals but got all 1s in music. So I think they are all pretty similar to last year. The 3 Canyon bands should compete to make finals and Pecos will probably be mid teens. Yeah, but I don't know if I feel good about being in the first block with that much potential talent in 4A. Unless something happens or somebody proves me wrong I bet the Finals will all be familiar schools from last year with maybe 1 or 2 jumping in. I'm really excited for Robstown HS and Panther Creek HS making it to state for the First time! I can't wait to see how they do! So it depends on if they put it all together and West Plains concern is content in the show. But I could definitely see this being the finals.
