Interesting so many people feel left wanting more out of their performance this year. Ngl I been feeling the same since last year. Their shows lately just don’t feel as personal anymore. Maybe it’s due to their increasing size

I don't think vandegrift "medaled" in prelims but it was a fairly dirty run, I feel like area finals was a much better performance from them

1. Hebron

2. The Woodlands

3. Vandegrift 

4. Vista Ridge

5. Marcus

6. Flower Mound

They are not disqualified

I believe it was confirmed earlier in the day that they made within the "margin of error" by a millisecond to not be DQd

I unfortunately missed the visual part of DS but from what I heard they did very well, hoping they can slip into finals at GN's and maybe even here. I'm now going to compose my predictions/tier list. I didn't get to watch some of these bands but am going off of what ya'll said about them, will post it after making my list.

I’m watching a few of the performances that ended up on YT, but I do like a lot of the shows (Hebron and Vandy are my predictions, but I’ll give more opinions once I watch them all).

Not. There is a history of leniency around timing at the state level.

I'm gonna do a predictions/tier list combo at the end of prelims, but a LOT of bands are stepping it up this year, even so enough to overcome "the usuals." Any updates on Waxahachie? If I had to guess they aren't gonna get the appeal approved, which opens up another spot which I guess is a good thing for that band that gets in, but I still feel SO TERRIBLE for them. 

I’m so impressed by the proficiency of the returning finalist as well as all the other competitors today. So difficult to decide. I loved watching the performances i was able to catch on the live stream, which in my opinion lived up to the hype because the panning and zooming is soooo much better. It looks like people with experience did the camera work.
