  1. None of the performances hit me like Keller does. Thank you Keller!
  2. I just noticed the DM podium crew for Keller were the first ones into the endzone after Pearland took the field. 🤔
  3. Fun fact. The people behind me at semi-finals had never heard of Hebron and after they performed, were speechless. Then one of them said, "I think that changed me." The other person said, "Yeah, I don't know what to say other than I am not the same." Got a chuckle from it.
  4. They weren't the most boring show in semi-finals, but I do have trouble understanding how they beat out Hebron, TW, and a few others. But I feel that way about several bands at every competition, lol. I feel I could make a solid case in court about the way some of these scores go.
  5. I'm bummed CTJ wasn't in, thought they were better than some of the bands that made it. Let's get all 3 top spots Texas! Ok, I'll settle for top 2 as long as there's a Texas band at number 1. In fact, let's get 2 of the bottom half bands to slide to top half (looking at you Pearland, Roundrock, Keller)!
  6. Carmels was a very symphonic performance...like Keller. However Keller's show moved me more, had more GE, and overall felt like a bigger achievement. Granted, I've seen Keller's show more times, and it's hard to not let familiarity come into play.
  7. I thought Carmel and Avon had nice big sounds, but maybe my expectations were just too high. I thought other bands out played them today and had harder material that showed better musicianship. I'd love to be educated on why these two bands have been on top. I'm pretty critical and thought TW and Hebron were better overall, even Bentonville had moments that put them higher in my opinion.
  8. Well, I haven't enjoyed a full day of marching shows like this in a long time. It's such a treat to hear all of these fantastic bands! Congrats to all Texas bands, in my book you should all be in finals! Now let's go put fear into these other bands...
  9. Something happened and they couldn't get them setup. The middle one improvised and grabbed a ladder, lol.
  10. Yeah, the show was fun to watch. I just get uncomfortable for some reason when the bands sing on the field! The fact it was Christmas music didn't help either.
  11. I'm impressed by Blue Springs marching. The spacing and alignment in their sets is nearly flawless.
  12. Nothing like the opener of a Hebron marching show to get your attention! So. Much. Sound. Their show is so intense and interesting, you never get bored. Best performance I've seen from them this year! Great job!
