I think that might be the piece they’re using for their ballad. My alma mater shares the same design team with them, and that team has used Méditation by Massenet several times with other schools, including mine. I don’t blame them because it’s a beautiful piece, and if I’m right, I’m looking forward to seeing Piper’s interpretation!

From the music I heard in their show reveal, Richardson is definitely stepping it up this year. Could be a real contender in 6A Area C now that some of the other schools in RISD have their directors leaving (specifically berkner & Pearce, with lake highlands not losing their main director)

Soooo excited for CR!! As much as it’s overplayed (which I’m fine with), I LOVE pines of Rome, and just like Pearland did last year, Ik they are going to absolutely kill it with this music, so so excited!!

I feel like Cedar Ridge's rendition of Pines may be more interesting than usual. Historically, they've had a pretty playful approach to their designs, which is great. We'll see!
