PIT. is it where the 'un-talented' kids go?
the terminator replied to Malletguy22's topic in Section Heaven
our pit plays a lot of the music that the winds play, and is definately still challenging, and we have one heckuva an oboe player in pit, so they are definately talented -

we are going to have two guards this year, with the JV being all band members. It's amazing how our director gets us to be involved, I'm doing floor crew -

look at the time my friend borchnork, Frisco has a little time trouble at 3:30ish but we are at night b/c we are marching and not this silly standstill stuff that everyone else is doing, it's all part of getting ready for next year in 4A b/c if haven't notice in marching w/exception of Plano NV schools of Jasper and Vines all pretty good 4A and 5A schools -

According to our directors who like to take trips to state every year said the sax quartet at the beginning was a little messed up b/c they turned it up to loud and you can hear the static from it, and their was a little phase at the beginning, is it true? -

I think what was special for me is to see bands like Plano East, Allen watch our show for bands like them to actually like it I'm really thankful b/c they are really good and we are just a second year school getting into our first big fight with lions. It well prepare us for next year when we will add about 70 people -

That basically means that almost everyone in Forsan is in band because I think the cutoff of 1A schools is like in the low 200s, which means band people are really cool unlike most people thinking that band people sucks -

It's unfortunate, and I am dead sorry for Sherman, but Dripping Springs they are something and I think they can compete well on Tues, and the colony really stepped it up. -

4 of the 10 bands are going to state on Tuesday, 5 of them are really strong 5A bands, and then you have us a 3A school that has about 85 percent freshman and sophomore compared to like Plano Senior and East which is all juniors and seniors, and even though we did not do as well in finals as in prelims we were lucky enough to move up one spot and we went crazy over it -

Nothing against Centennial people but you can't believe our faces when we got 4th ahead of you going into finals. I mean last year it was depressing b/c Liberty beat us for a finals spot in area, and we really were down, but then at LE for us to be where we are is amazing. What difference a year makes, A year ago Wills Point was miles ahead of us, and Canton was untouchable in 3A, then at LE we beat Wills Point and was only 1.2 points behind Canton something that was ludicrous last year. It's the same with Centennial the way you made finals in so many difficult competition earned my utmost respect and to go into finals ahead was great. The best part is to hear other bands come up to you and tell you how much they enjoyed the show, knowing your hard work has paid off.

Do you know who our guide will be. We are really excited. We hope to do well, and oh yeah watch for our big circle in the parking lot before we move to our rehersal. We have a tradition of everyone getting in a big circle hands crossed with everyone and pray. It's pretty cool, and I am so going to try to catch Dripping Springs show after ours b/c I know I'll miss the Sherman one, but I'll probably catch them in finals so no worries. The funny thing about Dripping Springs is the ride to Frisco is way longer than the one to San Antonio for them -

oh you guys can probably see us b/c our new performance time is right after the lunch break at 1:30, so hopefully you can sneak in and watch, and that LE show was bad, we're not going to let that happen, and we will make finals -
Our goal for CMF is to put a name for ourselves, so in the future people go "I really want to see Wakeland's show" and "Man, I can't believe we have to compete against Wakeland". B/c we are new and as of right not we know that most of the top bands have no idea who we are, but I think at this competitive contest w/ amazing 4A and 5A bands that people can start seeing us as contenders. Last year Centennial made finals in all of their contests and now they are going to state, in 09 we plan on being there too
