  1. good for you for us a total of about 70
  2. Since I won't make all-region I really don't care.
  3. thank god we don't, our director makes sure we don't
  4. Wakeland crushed Liberty at Pizza Hut Park thursday night with a 38-13 performance. Starts off a good season, but we have a strong team in Argyle coming. Of course their band is really strong too. 5th in 3A state marching, and a band that somehow made finals in Birdville before as a 2A school
  5. Same here, in fact we finished the whole show. It's about 75 sets, but we will leave out the last 6 or 7 for our performance. Yeah, third movement is pretty bad, so we are in a frenzy to clean as much as possible
  6. I have no idea what we are playing. Our Wind Symphony is pretty small, and since I'm one of the only two people in that ensemble that plays 2nd Clarinet it gets kind of dull sometimes. And yeah I loved that flute solo, but I got to admit whoever played that kudos for them b/c that was ridiculous
  7. I remember your show that year. If I remembered correctly you guys played Bartok Concerto for Orchestra. Hindiemeth Symphonic Metamorphsis(I don't remember what movement) and Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, right?
  8. I really don't remember what was you guys show in 05?
  9. Wow I'm suprised by that but how can you even hear the met in the stadium, of course if everyone will watch the drum majors and listen to the percussion then you should never have problems
  10. Our school doesn't play in week 0 so we officially have not performed, but a lot of our band went and so our big sister school Frisco High, which played Lakeview Centennial. Both bands did well, but I wasn't a fan of either's music, and they only have the opener on the field so it went by really fast. Still it was a lot of fun
  11. 6. No breathing after the bar lines
  12. We are so close in putting the whole show on the field for the parent performance, but we definately will have the whole thing by our first football game
  13. Yes we are starting on our third movement, things are starting to look really well, I think our first movement is deserving of a 1,1,2 at UIL, but the rest is not that great yet, but hey it's still August there is plenty of time
  14. I think that the Cadets 05 show "The Zone" was overrated, it did not deserve that high of a score
  15. We have finished 25 sets so far, and we cleaned them up on Thursday and is starting to look very good. The only issue we have some individual trumpets can't march to save their lives, and some traverse problems with shoulders, but all is good the music is really coming together nicely
  16. I also liked the end of the second where that colorguard member ran through the band with the double flags
  17. win 3A state TMEA honor band, get 1st in every single contest, get sweepstakes, do a lot of bonding and having fun, and totally rock this house
  18. We are way ahead of you guys, we're half way done with the 1st. Although we are getting really tired music wise, and still very dirty
  19. IT's kind of sad b/c we have like a total of 18 upperclassmen
  20. wow that is strange you are I guess 17 or 18 and you are already shrinking. I feel sorry for you
  21. learning drill all day long, I'm compeletely wiped out. Our director had murder in his eyes at one point b/c our loading crew didn't charge the long ranger which he hooks up the metronome to, and then we were trying to correct each other and he wanted us to shut up, and that was a small problem. Still, it was an extremely good day, and we have finished memorization for our first 2 movements. I love our 2nd movement, but it is really slow and so physically draining that by the end of it you wonder if you can even put up the effort to continue with the third.
  22. bluecoats are great. still I like Blue Devils better
