HAHA, we already got our freshman doing fundamentals since last Thursday, and although it's still really dirty we basically have our first 2 movements memorized. Our freshman are quite impressive as a whole, and actually are really cool people. Can't wait to start putting the show together. Our goal is to finish our show by our first football game,

True, I saw the guy in colorguard next year, and I don't want to be mean, but... he is kind of unusual... to say the least. We also got a freaking amazing oboe player. I went to DCI Dallas and saw my band director for the first time this summer. He is right now with the Cadets. Show was awesome. I love the Blue Devils show

Talk about Argyle, they never have a colorguard and always do well. Like last year in birdville, they got 8th despite the fact they had no colorguard costing them 50 points, which is could have put them higher

Movie was horrible, and way too short. It was even shorter than 4 which is really odd. Great Expectations is too long b/c of dickens and scarlett letter was pure horrible. Ender's Game was cool

Same here, I have never seen any of those top bands close up b/c we don't go to any major competitions. Still we are trying to persuade our director to do so, b/c we don't have state for the next two years

I do both football and marching band, so it's kind of fun. I rather be with my band people then football. We did pretty bad and went like 3-7, but of course it was our first year, so it could have been worse. Still, we think we can make playoffs this year

A few might go to Birdville that day, but yeah it's not a bad contest. The reason why there were so many top bands there last year was because it was one of the only early season marching contests.

However, you guys at area totally put that piece together. Why would they assign a high school director to middle school, it makes no sense. Also, you can't get other directors which is even more absurd. Your district has some serious issues

Yeah, I agree that does kind of suck. I believe Carrollton and Birdville are on the same day, so switch those, and you can switch Plano East for Little Elm. (We are going there too ), and maybe add the Hurst Euless Bedford one in the end of September
