  1. WOW! Remember to take your portable phone chargers!! I’ll be at Area C but will absolutely be watching for updates & commentaries from Area B. Best of luck to everyone!
  2. I was there on Saturday at region & watched it all go down. One of your staff members caught my eye towards the end of your run. He seemed stressed & it made me wonder what was going on because nothing was obviously wrong on the field. (You guys were performing beautifully.) I happened to glance up at the timer and saw it go to double zeros as the show was finishing. My heart sank for you all. Thanks for the update; I’ve been wondering where things are at in the appeal process & wish you all the best!
  3. Here’s the schedule as of Oct 11th. It still lists Azle & Plano East, however they both could have dropped within the last 5 days.
  4. Wylie High had a KILLER run at Region yesterday. Prosper & Rock Hill tend to do better at BOA comps. Boyd & Wylie High tend to do better at UIL comps. Wylie East hasn’t fared as well as last year. It will be interesting to see the 4th-6th placements shake out at Area!

  14. I saw that Williams got Outstanding Music, but haven’t seen anything else yet.
  15. I saw on their Facebook page that they were delayed 3 hours this morning due to a stuck door on one of the buses. That had to have been so frustrating ☹️
  16. Yes, thank you @Tubalord11!! I’m usually volunteering at WMI but couldn’t this year due to Family Weekend at UNT. Best of luck to all of the bands, and I hope Wylie High has a great run in exhibition!

  18. “Routinely miserable” is the perfect way to describe summer (AND the first 2 days of Fall) in Texas this year 😩
  19. Anyone have the draw for Area C available to post?
  20. I’m rooting for The Colony too. Best of luck to you guys!
  21. I’ve heard that Allen isn’t as big as previous years because they are wanting to be more competitive. Is this true?
  22. From halftime at the game: - Both Wylie & Hebron were in their warm weather attire; no props; each performed about 4 minutes of their respective shows. - Wylie’s theme: Eye of the Beholder. Looks like they have a great start & should be as competitive in Area C as last year. They have some really good soloists, a talented guard, and a promising show design. - Hebron’s theme: Monomyth, a hero’s journey. They are already sounding so clean while playing tough music & moving a LOT. Expect a phenomenal show out of them this year.
  23. Wylie HS: Eye of the Beholder Hebron HS: Monomyth, a hero’s journey
