Thanks for providing all of the great summaries! I appreciate y’all taking the time to do this today. I’m following along, and hoping I’ll be able to go to WGI Dallas finals tomorrow if my schedule allows 🤞🏽 Btw, I had the opportunity to see Wylie High’s Winterguard preview last month and all 3 of their groups looked fantastic. Their feeder program is looking strong! I hope their varsity guard has a great run this evening.

Also- with Wylie High hosting WMI the same day as the McKinney Marching Invitational (which is surprising to me since these programs love having the other(s) in attendance), that means there will be a new champ at MMI.

I agree, and appreciate your explanation of this. I saw that the UIL approved an increase in visual fundamental time from 10 to 15 hours for 2024. This still seems so restrictive!

For all the talk about Area C being a competitive “bloodbath” -which I completely agree with btw- finals last night felt like such a celebration of all 12 bands. Standing ovations for each program; claps & cheers for soloists & musical/visual impact moments…so much love & support for those kids across the board. And Prosper going last with their all-in Texas extravaganza…the crowd singing & clap-clap-clapping along to ‘Deep in the Heart of Texas’ during their pre-show…was the cherry on top. SO fun & an unforgettable night of phenomenal high school marching bands.

Does anyone know if they clear the stadium after the prelim results/finalists are announced?
