TWHS should be incredibly proud, medal or not. I don’t see how they could’ve possibly given a better final performance. They did Team Texas SO proud! Congrats to Avon on the bronze! I don’t think there’s any program in the country that knows how to deliver in finals like Avon does. Congrats to Tarpon Springs on the silver! 6th to 2nd in one year isn’t too shabby. I really thought they gave Carmel a run for their money. And congrats to Carmel on their World Championship win!!! The last time a group other than Avon won was in 2017, which also happened to be Carmel.

I feel pretty confident about Paramount sealing the win with that performance. I just wonder how it’s gonna go with Carmel vs. Tarpon…

Love Fusion’s fake out ending. That last movement is so much fun!

Onyx was definitely one I had to switch to multi cam for to see all their crazy movements. I love that they brought the weird this year. Always one of my favorites.

Ughhhhhhh I just adore Carmel’s show. I love how all the equipment is in the benches! It creates such a clean look. Not necessarily as perfect of a performance as the pervious three, but most of the drops were on small stuff. They nail every single big moment. I can not get over those sit roll tosses during one of the quietest moment of the show. Anyone else kindof annoyed by the audience clapping along to the music? Idk maybe it’s just me.

Wowwwwwwwwwww…….Tarpon Springs is the third group in a row that I don’t think could’ve had a better performance.

TWHS has been consistently ON FIRE for like three weeks. They have not had a single performance that wasn’t spectacular. I saw zero drops. Easily one of my favorite shows this year. So freaking good.

Avon was clean clean clean. They don’t want to leave here without a medal.

I absolutely love Arcadia’s design. It’s so different from last year (which was also fantastic). I usually find futuristic shows to be a bit tacky, but they made it feel so real while still being cinematic.

Each and every one of Miamisburg’s performers is so incredibly talented. They know how to throw down in finals.

I love West Broward’s unique brand and energy and I think it works so well with this Rosalía medley! Super cool set pieces too.

Cleveland! Love their show. Simple and satisfying. It’s crazy that they started the season in open class!

LOVE to see Center Grove give their strongest performance when it matters most!

SOMERSET!!! ACADEMY!!! Completely nailed it. Nobody is touching that. Mt. Carmel also totally nailed their show. So clean! It’s such a cool show. They only have 10 members but have such a strong presence. Also loved both Milford and Centerville. Very different shows, both equally as emotionally powerful. Not perfect performances from either but I think Milford should hold onto the bronze just based on the score gap in semis.

Leander has the record. 99.4 or something.

Dobyns-Bennett was so good. I would be shocked if they don’t win. Kindof surprised they weren’t one of the groups promoted earlier in the season. Clear Brook was of course great too. Definitely ready for Open Class!

Reiterating how much I absolutely love Somerset Academy. Easily one of my favorites in any class this year. I was actually really impressed with the entirety of SO Semis. The prelims scores seemed low so the performances definitely exceeded my expectations.

Westlake killed it! Best I’ve seen from them all year. That behind the back rifle ripple 🔥

PDCMS was flawless

Was only able to catch Carmel in SW because of class. Definitely not their best performance in the first half of the show, but they brought it back. Nailed those sit roll tosses and everything at the very end! Still leading Tarpon decently comfortably. TWHS jumped up to being solidly in 3rd, yay!! I don’t know if it’s because Avon was weaker or the judges realized how good TWHS is.

Yeah that was the older performance I was referencing. Unfortunately, today’s was completely different. It wasn’t even necessarily the performance that was baffling. I’m more talking about how the show started and the frankly irresponsible situation that the performers were put in today. I don’t think an explanation would do it justice, it’s definitely a “you just had to be there” situation. They’re rebroadcasting prelims tomorrow though.

I went back and watched an older performance to see if their show was always like that, and today’s was completely different. I also think audio is very necessary to understand my reaction lol.

On a more positive note , Fusion was great!

It was very memorable in the absolute worst way possible. Definitely the worst marching arts performance I’ve ever seen. I feel bad for those performers.
