Blue Springs’ show is so unique with its pacing and staging. Imo, it is very effective. All the elements of an Eagle winning performance are there, they just need a higher level of musical demand and stronger ensemble moments. I still think the narration at the very end is too long, I thought it was going to end like five different times but it just kept going lol.

Crazy that a band that good wasn’t top three in semis. Thank you Hebron for continuing to defy what should be possible.

William Mason is the epitome of current day Cartwright visual effect. The synchronization of all the flags and the added layer of the big skirts on the band is so impressive. Though, the show feels too similar to last year for me to have them any higher than 5th tonight. Kinda feel like I’ve seen the show before even though I haven’t.

Carmel. Musical masterpiece. The visual perfectly highlights the music, it truly feels like one.

Avon does simultaneous demand better than anyone, very dci vibes all around. That weapon line is insane and is perfectly staged through the entire show.

TWHS is a visual FEAST. That flag work is infinitely cleaner and more effective than what any other band is putting out there, I’ve truly never seen anything that good. It’s also SO satisfying seeing all those feet in time and the effect it creates with the uniform.

Fishers does a really great job at featuring tons of different music and visual ideas without it feeling cluttered or out of place.

Did he say that Keller’s show is called “Asylum” 😂😂 I will never get tired of that Mahler ending. And those mello sustains. And that last note was incredible. And they had drum major podiums. Ok I’m done.

Pearland firing on all cylinders! Such a great balance of music and visual impact.

Round Rocks show is consistently gorgeous with its musical and dynamic choices. It really stands out among the other Texas shows in the best way.

Brownsburg’s guard stole the show for me. Can’t wait to see how they do at WGI, maybe a new world class guard in the making. Also love the effect of the uniforms and all the different shapes they make with the props.

Let’s focus on celebrating these 12 amazing bands 🙂 Bentonville!! That ballad and the Here Comes the Sun closer are magical!

Random observation, but 8 of tonight’s finalists made finals together in 2015. I wonder which years share the highest number of the same finalists?

I realllly thought Dripping Springs was going to make it. That semis performance was incredible and they should be so proud to end their season with that. Gutted for CTJ. Performance times were not their friend this season.

I know, but there were only two bands left to announce at that point, and Carmel had to be one of them, so I had no idea which other Texas band made it.

Had me STRESSED with Carmel still left to be announced and and one spot left for Keller, Bowie, CTJ, or Dripping Springs to be announced. Sad to see 3 Texas bands miss finals. But they could not have been too far out.

Always wishing for a tie to get more than 12 bands into finals

Brownsburg is an interesting one for me. Visually they are approaching a top half of finals level, but the music performance is not near that level, so I don’t know where they’ll end up. But based on how high they scored at the Indy SR, I would be shocked if they missed finals.
