Amazing performance from Rouse to close up the competition!! Such a beautiful duet in the opener to that opening hit with some amazing visual work. Really lovely stuff from the quintet in the during the second movement and that ballad was just wow. They still have that amazing ensemble sound control, just lovely stuff from Rouse, they are looking to have another amazing season. Wonderful job Rouse!!

Yeah ummm IDK if anyone is touching Vandy tonight. It's possible, but my gosh that performance was just so magical. They just know how to do everything the best, and that's exactly what they did tonight. Would love an "upset" but I think they'll take it tonight. Un-freaking-believable. Sounds amazing, look amazing, are amazing. Great job Viper band and Vision Dance Company!!

CEDAR FREAKING RIDGE!!! God the amount of Visual GE in this show is insane, sooo much!!! They did not take lightly what happened last season and are anything but messing around. Such a fun show with so many different features and soloists, all which were amazing. Really love what they do with the percussion in the opener. I'm sorry but I completely forgot they were going to Waco this year when I said Westlake could win, I'd be super surprised if CR doesn't take home gold, though we have ti see what MG Johnson is up to. Wonderful job Cedar Ridge!!

Such a wonderful performance from Vista Ridge! Could definitely see them taking home music tonight after that amazing musical run, I mean they just sound so professional. Sucks they had all those prop issues today, but they didn't let that effect their run at all. Love the preshow so much, great visual ge there and I can't wait to see how they are come TMC. Great job Ranger band!!

YES WESTLAKE!!! That opener is soooo effective with the woodwinds going into the circle to make the peace sign that expands as the woodwind prepare us for the opening hit! Trumpet soloist was so gorgeous during the ballad, guard is just spectacular. I'm beyond excited to see them at Boa Waco this year, could see them winning that this year with how well they are performing such a brilliantly designed show. Amazing job Westlake!!!

Yeah I see why Cedar Park swept 3A today, because that performance was INSANE!!! So much GE in the preshow visual leading into that amazing opening hit! Drill is supper effective, soloists were great, I mean wow CP, just wow. They are going to be a real threat this year and grand nationals, unbelievable stuff coming from this program. Will almost 100%-win 5A state again unless one of the other top programs make some big moves. Amazing job Timberwolf band!!

Lovely stuff from Lake Travis!! Really enjoy the battle of the ice movement, they play it with such beautiful sounds. Soloist were great, drill was cleaner tonight, some drops in the guard but overall, a really solid run, can't wait to see the finished show. I know that closer is gonna be something special. Great stuff from Klein Cain! Happy to see them be in finals after making the drive. Really good sounds in the ensemble, especially low brass. Visual work was solid, just solid overall performance. Great job Klein Cain!

Another fantastic showing from Leander!!! God this show is just such a blast, Trumpet solo with the different perc instruments at the beginning is just such a vibe leading to that super cool opening hit!! Watching multi-cam tonight and you can tell those kids are having so much fun performing the show, and I love the different variations of shades throughout. Ballad was once again so gorgeous, Flugelhorn player is just top notch, great double flag work from the guard. I can't wait to see this show at Nats, amazing job today Leander!!

LOVE this show from Hutto!!! Super happy they were able to make I believe their first finals appearance at a BOA regional, and very deservingly! They have taken it up a notch from last year which was fantastic, and seem to be on the rise. Could definitely see them making a splash at area D this year, because they look amazing and sound even better! Really great stuff Hutto!

Lovely performance from Westwood! Love hearing them play a ton of famous classical pieces, and they do so very well. Lovely body work from the members with that beautiful flute solo leading into the big hit, and that ballad is so nice. Again, the design team did a great job with the transitions into the different songs throughout the show. Can't wait to see the full production, amazing job Warrior band!

Amazing performance from Round Rock!! Once they add more and clean up, I think this show will be so much fun to watch! That sax solo in the opening is so cool, love the brass only ballad with some very effective flag work done in the woodwinds, just a really good, designed show. Congrats on an amazing start to your season Dragon Band!

I unfortunately y had to take an emergency call during their performance but I did catch the ballad and after and they sounded good for their size, could see them having a good season this year!

Well, that concludes prelims!! Amazing performances all around, and regardless of the results all kids should be proud of the amazing work they did today! Will be one of the best finals at this comp, and I'm super excited to see how our finalist do under the stadium lights. Great job today everyone, and we'll be back shortly with results!

Westlake HS-Nouveau: Really great work from the guard during the preshow, love the capes on the uniforms and how they form the peace sign is so cool! Fluet duet was popping off, great balance from the woodwinds behind to not overpower the soloist while adding some great sounds, awesome drill in the opener. Lovely stuff from the brass and sextet with the woodwinds doing some jazz running on the left side of the field going to the dance break. Trumpet soloist during the ballad was so gorgeous, full band impact was amazing and the double flag work from the guard was soooo good. Tons of GE throughout the show, and could definitely make a statement tonight, amazing job Westlake!!

Westwood-Timeless: Lovely flute solo with the guard member running through the brass into the opener! Love the usage of these many different classical pieces throughout, they combine them very flawlessly. Beautiful work from the synth player and soloist during the ballad, great visual work from the band during it and great management of the tempo changes at the end. Guard added a ton of effect, really cute show from Westwood!

Klein Cain-Pipelines: Really great stuff from our Houston band!! Unfortune electronic issues, but the band sounded really good. Definitely some interesting musical moments, visual wise was pretty clean and I think they have a solid shot at finals. Great job KC! Also, I was grabbing a snack during the Westlake announcement, are they not performing at all or now after Westwood?
