Ryan Reynolds thing was super cool and funny. I have not see CTJ yet so I don't have any impressions Also have not seen FloMo's show yet either. My first thought is that it doesn't seem right. But when I think about it more, it sounds like it fits with their show?

There are actually 4 GN champions from Texas. The woodlands (2013), LD Bell (2007), Westfield (2003), and Spring (1993). I was actually surprised to find that Texas has the 3rd most GN championships, but your point still stands. There are many shows that don’t get the national appreciation that they deserve. I guess at the end of the day, SA is less expensive and still a very competitive and prestigious contest.

A few weeks ago, my brother did tell me that his section leader said they may not got to GN next year because of Macy's this year. It would give them another year to improve before making the trip, but doesn't that mean a year of kids won't get the opportunity to march at GN?

Yeah, I checked the schedule yesterday and wasn't expecting so little. Keller has Macy's Parade dress rehearsal and parent meetings that Saturday so that may be part of their reasoning.

I don't have a flomarching subscription (which I regret) so I still have yet to see some of these shows at least I'll get to see flower mound and others next week at the BISD marching contest.

Hahaha, I thought maybe their show was actually about building a cake from the ground up. I wonder if they will look different by Saturday

Because i'm in class, i'll just give my quick thoughts Fossil Ridge Some of their color guard were doing some really impressive tosses and I did enjoy it more than their show last year. Still a ways behind the other KISD High schools but they do look to be half the size of other schools. Overall I saw an improvement. Keller They added more visuals to the ballad and other stuff and the color guard was more together than at HEB. I believe they are getting ready to use propzilla more but I think they will still be playing up to the ballad this Saturday. All of their props are artworks by MC Escher and I do hope that the theme is communicated more. Timber Creek I was really impressed and can see why they won Midland. I do think they will make finals at BOA DFW and can't wait to see more. Their props at the moment look like cakes to me. Their show is about flowers right? Central Im still a little unsure but I did enjoy their show. There were some people behind me talking about their recording equipment so I feel like I missed bits and pieces and got distracted. A lot of recognizable music and their show was humorous. I'd have to see it again.

I've briefly thought about a Scottish themed show before. It included music from Braveheart

I think these 8 are "locks" Hebron FloMo Cedar Park Keller LD Bell Union Prosper Timber - Im not sure who will take the remaining spots. I'm going to hope for Central because ISD bias and Martin because my friend goes there and I'm kind of digging their show.

Depends on how all the bands develop over the week. Definitely feels more possible this year than before. But I really want to see what Flower Mound and Hebron have in store for us this year.

I personally thought their 2017 show was pretty good and was surprised that they placed 33rd at SA. I'll get to see them at the KISD Marching Expo tomorrow and they have made BOA DFW finals for the past few years so we'll see.

And the gap between Keller and Marcus was even smaller in prelims. It really could have gone either way yesterday
