To be fair, you saw that same duplication before they did. The really good bands in Texas have really good years under both systems.

Bitter, party of one! There isn't a single band in Finals that isn't excellent. You will see many of the same bands in Finals on Tuesday and the UIL system is very different from BOA. These bands excel under both systems because they are among the best high school bands in the country.

Question of the day: How many bands here would qualify for Finals at the Indianapolis "Super" Regional?

The issue with Panel 2 is there are more very top bands and some get pushed out of the Top 5 and are subject to possible score imbalance between the two panels.

It happens every year, and understandably so. The show is so loaded. People get very excited about the band they JUST saw and swear they will be in Finals. Recency bias is a thing. There just aren't enough slots to go around.

Somebody makes a new account just to take a swipe at Vista. Childish.

LISD is Area H, not D. Putting all of the Austin area into one Area would be brutal. Looking at Area results (with HornRank rankings)....
