I am happy that all the bands are leaving it all out on the field.

We must have watched a different Vista Ridge, because that show is non-stop marching. It might be a little park and bark, but the movement is there.

You know when live blog is even more super cool and greatly appreciated? When I'm on pit crew or props and can't see any other bands, which is basically most of the time. I pull up the blog so I can follow along while I'm doing the "hurry up and wait" thing. It's awesome!

Having a full night to think this over, it still hurts to think we placed as low as 23rd, but at the end of the day, all we can say is that those kids performed their hearts out and they should be proud of themselves for even making the state contest, because it's not easy to do. For anyone that's not happy with their placements, just remember that even qualifying for the state contest makes your band one of the best in Texas, and that is a prestigious honor in and of itself.
 
And for every band that made finals, today is your chance to prove that your band is the best in Texas. Go perform your hearts out, and make your last performance an unforgettable one.

I think our kids feel blessed and happy to be in finals. They have nothing to lose. Go give your best performance yet.

The Keller band is too precious for this world and must be protected at all costs! 
 -Basically they were upset that Timber Creek didn't make state so they wrote "4TCHS" on their arms. These kids are the best!

MY LAWD LEANDER! The whole package is there and wow, the front ensemble. Those kids can play!!

Marcus was great, and drum major, loved that speech. Lovely!

KIDS did that with only 8 hours allowed a week. And months of constant rain. Everything to be proud of, whether you played last night or not. It was absolutely stellar, all of it. Hold your heads high.

One of the best things I’ve read in a long time! You had a fantastic show. A great attitude will carry you farther in life than any accolades, I promise you that. This competition is extremely deep and we have fantastic bands in Texas. Period.
