Our rival is Leander... the last football game of the regular season is against them every year, and we share the same stadium.... so its pretty cool, just about everyone comes to the game and we've won the past 2 years.

Realignment. HELP!!!!
actualgirltrombone replied to Trumpeter07's topic in Past Contests, Events, and Festivals Archive
About none of the middle schools making straight 1s this past year.... apparently the sightreading piece was INSANELY HARD. I know that the middle school I attended, which has made straight 1s since it opened, as far as I know, recieved a 1-1-2 in sightreading this past year because of the sightreading piece.... Just my 0.02$ -
As far as I can tell, the force a black hole uses to bend light is HUGELY INSANE amounts of gravity.

It was Phantom that had the trumpets put their horns down and pick up baritones. It was AMAZING. Also, huge props to the players who are able to do that.

I thought that 0 degrees Kelvin was absolute zero, and so you cant have a temperature lower that 0 degrees Kelvin. Or is that -243 degrees Kelvin. Or -243 degrees Celcius. AHH I DONT KNOW. But anyways, are you saying that the average temperature of the universe is less than absolute zero? Cause not even atoms can move when the temperature is absolute zero.

The Simpsons vs. Family Guy
actualgirltrombone replied to bluebellbrass07's topic in General Off-Topic
I think some of the extremeness of Family Guy is what makes it so funny. For instance, the whole Peter fighting the chicken wouldn't have been half as funny if it was only a short segment. They take it further than normal and most of the time it ends up being funnier that way. -
What did you think about the Cadets Show?
actualgirltrombone replied to TRtrumpet's topic in Drum Corps Forum
The problem was that I could hear neither the singing or the crowd, cause I was sitting way up about 5 rows from the top of the alamodome. -
Did anyone else get there really early and see some of the Division 2 corps? I personally thought Southwind had a really cool effect with the different colored uniforms and the yin-yang thing. Their playing and drill wasn't all there, but it was a cool effect, I gotta say. CAVIES WAS SO CLEAN!!!! I was amazed. I almost want them to win... but I like Phantom's show better.

What did you think about the Cadets Show?
actualgirltrombone replied to TRtrumpet's topic in Drum Corps Forum
I thought that they could play and march it very very well, and that the guard was AMAZING. As far as I saw, the guard hit everything they did. I loved the aspects of the show that normally occur in drum corps I didn't understand the whole miked singer thing. I couldn't hear her half the time, and when I could hear her I would have rather heard the hornline. I thought the tables were kind of weird, but were a cool effect. I HATED the whole random door/people running around in odd uniforms/guy in bunny suit aspect. I thought it distracted from the music and marching. It kinda reminded me of The Woodlands' show last year, when the guard was kind of distracting in the same sort of way. I gotta say, the drumline was AMAZING. Wow... that one stick throw was awesome! -
Im going, but our band directors organized it so I havent the faintest idea where we're sitting. Hope to see everyone there!
