It was kinda crazy to me to come to the realization that Pearland very well could have been national finalists without ever having made super regional finals. Their prelims run in the Alamodome was dirty and it still got them 17th. A clean run would have knocked Keller out. I can only imagine where Pearland would have been without the hurricane! Let that be the best example of design being half the battle.

That’s not true. There have been 11 judges at major events for a while now and the cap has been and remains 100. DCI recalibrated after BD 2014, but the activity has grown even more in just four years! I think we may have a second and third place score record this summer!

The schools that start late are still well ahead. *And* this might be the perfect excuse for those later start schools to tack Saturdays on too, since they won't have Saturday restrictions either by virtue of school not starting.
