  3. Someone give me one reason why that won’t win tomorrow night, bc I simply can’t find one. Today was better (I think),the bodywork felt more in time all around, especially during the mixed rifle/flag work right before the slower section. No drops once again. People are going to be losing it tomorrow, more so than they were today. It’s just unreal what they are doing, amazing job TWs!

  12. been really busy, in and out. will try to go back and watch little elm and cy fair. congrats to woodlands on 2-pointing the field in prelims, despite both Carmel and arcadia having awesome runs. saw it coming. best run ive see from tw. fabulous on the timing, the pitch of the equipment, the hands. didn't see any drops, just a couple half catches, which is insane given their ludicrously hard book. they make everything look so easy, such calmness and control throughout. congrats to the open classers and A classers so far, too. they're all crushing it rn.

  13. congrats to A classers. quick calculations, looks like tx units take up half of the top ten spots after semis. Melissa 3rd, + Jordan, Katy, dripping, and Tomball memorial 6th thru 9th in a row. think Wylie also made it in.

  15. Some big changes this year. That change shouldn't change to much unless the director is cracked and changes the culture of the band instantly. I see it more as a set back for Pearce this year but depending on who that is it could be worth watching out for them.

  18. Congratulations to team Texas on a historic day!! First place in 2 classes and 3rd in another with a ton of groups going to semis in SA and SO!! Would be crazy to take gold in two, and possibly silver and bronze in two as well! Gonna try and watch as possible tomorrow but I’ve got a pretty busy day, but again amazing job everyone!!

  19. The top 3 at each A class site. Cintas: Pope (93.050), Clovis North (92.900), and Melissa (90.850) Truist: Grain Valley (90.640), River Bluff (90.560), and Tomball Memorial (90.500) I hesitate when comparing scores across two different panels, but it's worth noting that Pope and Clovis North are more comfortably Box 5 than the others. 3rd place looks like more of a question mark.

  20. I haven't watched anything today, but I'm looking at these prelims results like 👀. The Open class ones especially. The Texas units are dominating there. 6 potentially making it into a finals of 15? It's borderline like BOA Grand Nationals, if only it were world class and not open! Round Rock isn't that far away, either. We'll see what happens after semis. There could be some significant shifts. I'm not surprised seeing Little Elm on top over Noblesville based on what I saw earlier, but the two-point gap is unexpected. That's typically an insurmountable gap, but we'll see. Melissa and Tomball Memorial breaking 90 in A class. At least a couple other Texas ones winning their rounds, too. Lots of 89s. We'll see if any of them can make the push onto the podium tomorrow night. That could be challenging. The Woodlands winning world class prelims by 2 points is just about the least surprising result today. Congrats to them in advance. 👍

  21. glad to see little elm on top after prelims, which is where they belong. magnificent show. beautifully crafted and performed. i also had Pearland in 2nd. clean and lovely as always. Noblesville was also very strong. i just can't get behind their design. not bc it's "too mature" or whatever, in fact i find the risk-taking refreshing, even if it's not a POC on the open sheets. i just find the soundtrack a lil corny. the lugubrious, whisper-cooed cover of Chandelier + the confessionals. yeeeeeah, not feeling it. buuut the performers are great. think they'll fit into world class just fine next yr.

  22. I really like this prediction but I think Tompkins also has a shot at getting that 5th spot and I think Katy or Langham or even Paetow could also get that 10th spot. The way I see it top 4 should basically be locks though unless the looney tunes portal opens out of the field like someone said earlier (Or it rains again 🫤 )

  26. Guys….I think they’re gonna do it I mean HOLY COW TW’s!!! No drops, the move so well together, so much emotion and energy, don’t really know what more you could ask for. Ofc the judges can see some little things I’m oblivious to but that was just WOW. I was curious if they’d be a little nervous today knowing this could be their first gold in SW, but they were unfazed. Two more runs like that or better and the sky’s the limit

    UIL 6A Area J 2025

Here my early thoughts on a lot of these J programs for this year; i think itll be another great year as this area impressed me a lot last year LISD big 3 most likely will go to state all again, with my personal order being Flomo Hebron Marcus in that order, all 3 could be in contention for each spot of those positions however; well have to see how their shows for this following year treats them. But my opinion for this specific order is that Flower Mound is way more of a heavy theming school and with all these other schools starting to develop (Bwell, WISD, MISD PESH, etc) I think that theming could possibly start being more necessary Prosper HS is probably gonna have another killer year with the Grand Nats appearance and 16th at the SMBC; however I want to wait and see how the new Richland school they are opening in the west of the district will affect their program before I make any big opinions on their program, but they will most likely be a contender for state once again. Braswell is a bit tricky on me to decide on right now just because of the sudden jump, but I think that they will most likely have another good season, and even possibly a visit to State if they can find a way to take advantage of Prosper high's situation with richland. Also keep in mind DISD is opening a new HS in the Crossroads area in 2027, but that wont be an issue for Bwell for these next few years. Wylie ISD will probably both be finals calibur once more, but keep in mind the new management, more notably Weast now has Sachse's Head director, which could be a really useful asset after their really killer season at SHS last year. Another big thing that could be talked about is the guard programs in these programs could have an effect on the programs this year, with those proposals for the judging system. Little Elm is having a historic Open season; Marcus is still really strong, and Prosper Wylie and Rock hill are also having good seasons this year, but in general a lot of the guards here are really good too not just the ones mentioned here. I think this year will be a great year for pretty much every band in this area and I cant wait to see how their shows end up for this year.

I love being a part of our amazing TXBands Community, and therefore, being an admin for our Prediction Game means I am able to engage with all of you in a unique and meaningful way. It's an honor to contribute to the excitement and camaraderie that make our community so special. I want to also thank all the amazing people who decided to submit a prediction or two (or 108) in this year's game! Without people predicting, this game would just not be here. The Prediction Game is not just a game; it's an opportunity for us to engage deeply with the performances and each other. It brings a sense of anticipation and thrill that enhances our overall experience. Finally, I do want to thank all the individuals who helped me with either finding information or gathering results. It can be rather tricky when certain programs or competitions just don't provide the information that is needed for us to use for our amazing little game. I believe I am done here. Thank yall again for an amazing marching band season and another great year for our game! Every year it's getting tougher and tougher, so I suggest getting enough rest before the start of next marching season. It will be here sooner before you know it. Bye Guys!!
