Wow Keller! First time seeing them this year and lived up to the hype. Absolutely phenomenal musically and great drill throughout. Can’t wait to see it again under the lights tonight!

Think I found my favorite ballad so far today with Trinity. Love the saxophone quartet there. Wonderfully done musically.

Very clean run for J.J. Pearce today both musically and visually. Great job getting those leaves too.

They didn’t update the only schedule, but Lewisville will be performing at 1 and Irving Nimitz at 1:30.

Also unrelated, apparently there’s an air show in the area. Various WWII era planes providing intermission entertainment.

We’ve warmed up to 62 here, but Lewisville tried to cool us off with “A cooler shade of winter”. Well done and really love the music arranging in it.

Third time seeing Lake Highlands this year and every time I love the backfield opening hit from the brass. There’s really a lot to like about this program visually and musically.

Summit is underrated. They placed in finals at BOA West Texas and I predict they will do the same here.

It’s not easy going on after Marcus, but Wylie really threw it down. I love their show this year. The ballad with Sound of Silence is just gorgeous.

We’ll see. A ton of really good groups here today. A lot of deserving groups are going home early tonight. I’m just nervous about that 10:15 am start time. Feels like so long ago.

We'll have to see. I believe the last spot of finals is between Summit, Lake Ridge, McKinney Boyd, Trinity, and Pearce. This contest is just so stacked it depends on judges preference and how each performance goes. I'm sure all bands will do very well, but this is a tight competition and you need to be stellar to make finals.

This just in: 718 is a lot people on a football field. Sounded the best I’ve heard Allen in a couple of years.

Allen seems to be one of those bands that are really trying to get into more competitive marching and ooo boy, if they can manage to play louder individually then there's no beating their volume. Seriously though. Last year we had a football game against them at the same time as Region Band auditions and they announced that unfortunately they'll ONLY be performing with 500 of their marchers on the field. They had 300 of their members trying out for region. That's the size of our entire band. That is INSANE.
