Do you think this early school start time is the cause of some bands practicing 2am to 330 pm? -

It was a tough weekend for CyFalls missing Finals by a quarter of a point but the 26 hours I drove Thursday and Sunday was totally worth it because I got to see Broken Arrow live. If you are judging Broken Arrow from the steam, don't be fooled. The stream doesn't do justice to how great The Pride was live. After watching the stream of Falls my son recorded, I heard a major difference. I thought Falls sounded amazing live but the stream doesn't do justice to their performance. I know this forum is for Texas bands, but I have a lot of respect for Broken Arrow. My daughter said some of the Broken Arrow members were so nice to members of Fall band commenting how much they enjoyed Falls show. -

Don't let it get you down finishing 30th at States. They are judged strangely. I feel Clements show was very entertaining as it pushed the boundaries like CyFair and CyFalls did this year. Other bands may have scored higher but you guys are only going to get better in the future. Keep pushing!!!
-
I though they would be higher also. I loved their show. The marching was great to watch. From what I understand UIL doesn't reward you for difficulty of your show.
-
I watched every performance and it seems to me they should have finished higher.Maybe about 15thJudges had them 24,17,21,27and18 17th I think CyFair's marching was probably in the top ten but in my opinion the music in this performance was about 20th. I thought something was wrong with my stream of CyFair's music performance until the next band up Hebron played and the stream sounded amazing. The stream of the UIL was lightyears better than the stream of the San Antonio Super Regional BOA last weekend. CyFair's band is great and will only get better. The competition is insane at this level. There is really only small differences between bands with judging being very subjective. Good luck in the future! Someday I hope someone from CFISD can break into the finals.

Long long way 20th to 12th. I don't think performance time hurt CyFair. Just go back and watch CyFair performance verses the band that performed after them Hebron.
