It's to early to start worrying. Forecasts this far out are not very accurate. Arlington was initially showing a really good chance of rain, but ended up with great weather.

I saw Wakeland at Arlington, they are very impressive. I loved their show.

Round Rock still has more to add to their show.

According to James Bowie calender, yes it is "THE" James Bowie.

I believe Bowie is going to Texas Marching Classic. These two contests are held on the same day. RR is going to Arlington.

Great contest. A lot of great bands in CenTex.

I'm hearing that Round Rock received a time penalty of 0,5 points. Can anyone confirm this?

I"m glad I'm not the only one that has noticed that about the moderators. There is one in particular that needs to go sit in a time out corner. And on another note, good luck to all the bands today. May the force be with you.

Bowie has a fb that shows some short clips of their show.

Round Rock- I saw their show.They are (varsity) the cleanest I have ever seen them this early in the season. They are looking really good. Going to a varsity/jv format was a good idea. Cedar Ridge- I don't think anyone is beating on them per say. They lost not one, but two directors, Calima and Brittain. This is a young program that lost the two directors that were there from the beginning and got them where they are. I expect to see them in finals at Austin, I still expect them to be good, but I don't see how losing those two cannot have some sort of impact on their program, even if they have a show designed for GN. Westwood- Keep an eye on these guys. Their directors have been pushing their program the last couple of years. I will not be surprise to see them make finals at Austin. I also wouldn't be surprise to see them go to GN in a couple of years.

Cedar Ridge actually lost two directors. Calima and Brittain.

Cedar Ridge's head band director is leaving. There is a job posting for it. Apparently they were informed at a band booster meeting that they were not going to GN. On the Cedar Ridge band FB page there are some comments about if from some really unhappy parents.

It was announced at RR's winter concert last week, I was there. I don't know how many will be in their JV. It won't affect the colorguard. This was a really good idea. The band is huge.

Just a fyi on Round Rock. Due to their size they are restructuring their band. There will be a varsity and JV band. Varsity for competition and JV for halftime at rb games.

Bowie doesn't seem to go on years when they have a big trip planned. This year they're going to a parade in London. The last time was when they went to GN.

No he's not one of the band directors. Jeremy Spicer is part of a leadership organization called Sasi. He is working with them in some capacity but not as a director.

The Disney theme in the beginning sounds great. It lasts for about a minute then quickly goes into the Wind and the Lion. The ballad is Polovtsian dances. Guard work is great, especially in the ballad, just beautiful. Looking forward to BOA Austin. Looks like the weather is going to be good this year, unlike last.

I'm really impressed with the way Round Rock and Blue Springs have bonded. They even created a FB page called The Dragon Regiment and are now officially in a relationship. I hope to see Blue Springs next year at BOA SA. Love you guys.

RRISD had two schools going to GN for the first time both making finals. Is this the first time something like this has happened?

RR was Monday night, haven't seen any videos. They flew into Indy yesterday.
