our band is around 200 members, but it is starting to get smaller, the middle school programs are getting smaller (half the size they were a couple of years ago) alot of the people in our district are sending their kids to hendrickson or are moving to round rock/cedar park. It is really sad and scary to think that in the not so far future the connally band will be one to be lucky to make area finals, much less state. I am just praying that next year we will be good enough to make state finals.

So, who else is freaking out that GN is here on thursday!!

I wonder if it was just a bad preformance or if there show/execution has gone down hill since area?!?, man now i am freaking out about finals and GN.

With the trumpet section, we were competely unfocused no matter what me and the other section leaders did. When we got 13th at BoA arlington, the whole section came up to me and apologized to me and said i was right so the next rehearsal was great but from the 2nd on it went back to crap. We have the alamodome for 3 hours tomorrow to rehearse, i hope they keep their focus during that time.

Bands have already been given estimate times for GN, if you live a certain distance away you can request which day, but you will usaully get an earlier time slot. Bowie is going sometime on friday, Connally is going at 10:15 thursday night (talk about luck, thats second to last), SFA is not going to GN for whoever said that, and Bell is postively going

anybody see connally and care to give a review?

I have to say i loved Richland's show, it was semi messy but with awsome drill and pretty good music i expect to see alot of them this year.

i might be going, it sort of depends on if my parents will let me go.

what happened with birdville, they did so well at state last year, but they didnt even make finals? Did anybody see them or can explain what happened

3 for us, but they are all juniors whp had spots, well one was in pit but whatever

My private lesson teacher told me to use one called Bell's, it works so much better than al cass, but you can only get it online.

we are at 27 which is towards the end of our second movement we should be at the ballad when school starts (total charts =65ish)

set 15 for us will be at 19 tomorrow! i cant wait for competition season!

We have a flugel solo but will probably change to trumpet because there is no way to get it to the sideline

4A the cleanest by far was Poteet they marched near perfect in finals but Frendswood had a better written show. 5A is all about reagan awsome music, visuals, and execution

All that I am going to say is watch out for us next year. Our music is extremly awsome. The Visual design has not been released. It is a very different show, but you will have to wait for BOA Arlington to find out what the show is. Muahaha!

as to what euro_euph was saying, i think that sometimes there is sucking up that wins postitions, like one kid in my section always sucks up and so does his parents, but he never works. I work hard but he got higher parts at the beginning of the year. Now I am section leader and first part but he is neither of the things, so it may look like they do favorites at first but in the end it will work for the best
