  1. Indeed!!! and a 97.7 in semi finals!?!?!? thats the new record is it not?!!?
  2. BELL WINS!!!!
  3. Last year was more of bells 04 show with reagans music. and i thought it looked more like bell 06, maybe a little of both
  4. Calling you cancerous has nothign to do with you having cancer. Its a phrase meaning something or someone that spreads bad things quickly. I'm pretty sure you can't sue somebody for that....if you want to ruin the band program by making everyone leave that statement would be correct. I really think you are handling this the wrong way though, you should just talk to your band director.
  5. I was being sarcastic....playing high e's without warming up isn't going to get you very far
  6. My advice would be to talk to your director yourself and tell him why you think his decision is unfair as opposed to getting random people on a band forum to heckle him. I think that would only anger him more
  7. Omg are you kidding me. That was a response to your post. If you didn't get the sarcasm in that I'm even more worried about you
  8. Yeah man right on! Playing high E's above the staff without warming up does WONDERS for your trumpet playing!!!
  9. Hm, I would agree with you but looking at the results from last year its looking like thats not so much the case. Looking at the results from state last year and the results from BOA San Antonio, they are pretty similar. Bell and Marcus in the top 2, reagan was 3rd in prelims at BOA and tied for 3rd in finals at UIL. Clean marching and clean playing equal effect, nobody wants to watch horribly skewed lines or listen to botched woodwind runs. I think the line between "UIL shows" and "BOA shows" is getting smaller and smaller.
  10. I would much rather play for the crowd any day of the week. You can't really control what the judges think of you so why bother trying. Getting 20,000+ people to stand on their feet is the best feeling I've ever felt
  11. A little early for predictions don't you think?
  12. I loved the shows that were in the middle of nowhere, with the exception of Oklahoma. I've never been so afraid of clouds in my life. The sky was pretty much pitch black. So much lightning too
  13. Oh man the arcade. I used to get on that thing during class all the time! One of the few websites that wasnt blocked!
  14. I agree with you. Just find a better way to say it next time
  15. It really is a great movie. I would suggest watching it as soon as you can. It'll really clear up the whole story behind the little girl and the end of the show in particular.
  16. You should really try to generalize less in your posts. Were you alive 15-30 years ago? The kids of today are being asked to do a lot more than they were back then. Sure this might be cause for some dirt in shows but I would by no means call it "sloppy."
  17. Is anyone else confused as to how Marcus got the visual caption?
  18. While I agree with you for the most part, I wouldnt really consider this part of the season "early." This was most everyones last performance of the year
  19. You don't need to be a judge to know that there was seriously something wrong with the judging tonight. Thats all I have to say
  20. I remember seeing you guys come out to hear us! We loved playing for other corps = ) I'd also like to say that the Troopers were way underrated this year. They had a really strong showing for there first year back
  21. Spirit was indeed way overated this year. Did anyone catch their hornline in the parking lot? The concept of realeasing notes together doesnt seem to be a part of their brass technique. Boston I though had a little more gutsy show this year than normal. At least the drill was stepped up significantly. I really enjoyed their show.
