  2. THanks, I can never find that video. Star of indiana did something very similar back in the early 90's and its on their antholgy DVD. I might upload that to youtube later
  3. Is running 26 miles straight not a sport now?
  4. Lol, walking pretty fast. I found that line funny. I wish I could find this video on youtube, but a few years back the Cavaliers did some studies with some athletic trainer and they had one of the tenor players hooked up to a machine that measured your heart rate and oxygen intake and output. They discovered that during a show that the musicians bodys are working as hard as an olympic marathon runner in the middle of a marathon. I would hardly call that minimal
  5. Dictionary.com cites sport as : "

  8. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery?
  9. Assuming they can get that many, thatd be amazing. Thats the most 92 when star had 16, but they had trouble getting 12 last year
  10. I can't wait
  11. http://www.yea.org/site/DocServer/cadetsni...swf?docID=15462 Enjoy
  12. I believe there will be 24 trumpets but thats the only other number I know. I know we are marching at least 80 brass this year.
  13. Wow, I loved the old ones! Especially with the white pants. The grey pants made it a little hard to see but I love the classic military look. Thats the same reason I like the cadets uniforms so much
  14. So I've just heard word that we will be marching 18 tubas this year! (thats IF we can get enough talented players) Come on, who wouldnt want to be a part of a tuba line that big
  15. http://www.micromarching.com/show.php?showID=827 The result of me unwinding after a 12 hour work day
  16. I could spend hours on this site http://www.micromarching.com/show.php?showID=214 ignore the little guy that runs through the field on about the 5th or 6th move
  17. The Blue Stars drum and bugle corps (bluestars.org) is planning on having a very large tuba line this year (my guess would be about 14-16) and are looking for any talented tuba players to audition. Camps are held in Indianapolis Indiana once a month with move ins starting in May. If you would like to attend a camp you can RSVP here: http://www.bluestars.org/rsvp.php Here is a video of MOST of the show from fairly late in the season. The first 30 seconds or so is cut off. You can find the whole thing on facebook if you're interested.
  18. Ok so I found this website on the Blue Stars forums and thought it was the coolest site ever so I thought I'd share. http://www.micromarching.com/ Its not pyware but its a whole lot less confusing heres my first attempt http://www.micromarching.com/show.php?showID=167 Keep in mind I had no control over the number of counts or speed the members were marching so some of the stuff that looks impossible isnt really that difficult...
  19. haha, probably more so than most on these forums
  20. I really hope I'm at the Denver show
  21. Phantoms show this year was "On Air." 2003 was harmonic Journey
  22. And I hear you guys have a wonderful new brass caption head this year. It hasn't been released to the public yet so I can't say who but I imagine hes going to work wonders with hornline this year
  23. Yup that was Berkner. I loved that show!
  24. Oh, the lick from the end of Bell 04 isn't actually in the orginal piece Blue Cathedral. I guess its kind of a play on the melody from earlier in the piece.
  25. You mean engulfed cathedral? They didn't play blue cathedral this year
