  7. Finals Scores 72.6 Memorial 81.3 Judson 82.9 Lehman 84.4 Georgetown 85.6 LASA 86.7 Grandbury 88.0 Anderson 88.1 Akins 89.5 Harlan 91.3 Madison 93.1 Hays (Best Music, Color Guard, Percussion 93.5 Steele (Best Visual, Best Effect)
  8. This is their second class to graduate.
  9. I guess they set the bar pretty high considering they were the first group to perform in finals.
  10. Looks like the weather is going to be amazing today. Let's go Band!!
  11. Let's hope the weather holds and rain chances disappear. We need the rain but not that weekend!
  12. I'm pretty sure they will be a finalist again this year. They were 6th last year in prelims and finals. Could possibly move up to 5th?
  13. Not quite. if you have 10-19, there will only be 7 groups in finals. If there are 20-29, 10 groups in finals. Over 30 in prelims, there will be 12 in finals. Less than 9, you only have prelims to select those that advance to State.
  14. It doesn't matter how many actually perform at Area. The number advancing is purely off of those bands that receive a 1st division at the Region level.
  15. Thanks for getting this post going!
  16. Hays has beaten Pieper, Lake Belton, Smithson Valley, and McCallum this season. The race for the 2nd—6th spot is going to be tight.
  17. There will be 29 groups at Area D 5A so 5 groups will advance to State.
  18. 8 groups from Region 18 advanced to Area. This means that all 7 groups in Region 26 need a 1st division to advance 6 to State. I'll keep everyone updated.
  19. Akins should get a 1st division this year. They are much stronger than last year's group.
  20. Region 18 and Region 26 have UIL today! I'll update when those results are announced. Good luck to all the groups performing today! All groups would need to receive a 1st Division for 6 groups to advance to the State Contest. Here's hopeful wishing!
